Gabe is fantastic at what he does! He is a perfectionist and does an excellent job at critiquing the blades of your skates. If you ask for something precise, he will tailor it exactly to your needs! I am grateful to have him sharpen my skates.

Cant say enough about The Hollow!! My kid blocked a shot during a practice and broke a skate blade. At the time the hollow was closed, so I called Gabe and let him know our situation and he let me know that he had the steel I need in stock and would come down on his day off and get them sharpened up for us!

Hello Google people Ive been playing ice hockey for 50 years obviously now Im playing in adult leagues, but I am an aggressive skater. I still play like a younger man, but Ive always wanted to have my skate blades profiled to Improve my turning power and have more stability and explosiveness. Ive always read about the benefits of having your skate blades profiled which is different then just than just sharpening them , unfortunately there is not a lot of places to get this done, mostly have to send them out to Canada or Minnesota, but recently I found Gabe in Mesa Arizona of all places he owns a business called The Hollow and let me tell you this was a true blessing . I brought my skates to Gabe told him what I was looking to improve on and his knowledge of skating in the way blades work on the ice was amazing. I left him my skates, He did the profiling. And a sharpening for a very reasonable price. Let me tell you when I tried the skates for the first time what an incredible difference, this guy nailed it everything I wanted to get out of the profiling was achieved and I wish I did this 50 years ago. Let me finish this off by saying all skaters should get there blades profiled young kids to older guys like me because hockey first and foremost is about skating if you cant skate well you cant play hockey very well and even if you cant skate, well, profiling will make it a whole lot better and actually make it a lot more fun to skate. Even if you dont want your blades profiled bring your skates to Gabe for a sharpening on a regular basis 98% of skate shops really do not know how to sharpen blades very well nor do the kids that work there really care if theyre done well and it makes a huge difference. Great place to get you skates sharpened by Gabe, a pro who knows how to do it correctly. I've been getting my skates shapened there for years now, and still the price is only $7.
