        Took my 2 children here for the three years I lived in Mesa. Very kid friendly environment, nice staff, and Dr. Nguyen was always so nice and helpful.

        Hello I want to post about Canyon pediatrics. Dr. Catherine was scheduled to have a video visit with my sick children and this morning after I scheduled yesterday she decided not to continue with the call and let me know that she wouldnt be able to see my children over the video call, knowing that they had high fever and vomiting, this place is trash. Shes very unprofessional. I just cant believe a so called Dr would do this Its Dr. Catherine at Canyon pediatrics

        My visit to Canyon was very pleasant and I am impressed with the medical staff there. Dr. Becky and Dr. Cat are amazing! They were very kind and compassionate, you can tell they have a heart for what they do. Their COPE program for behavioral health is fantastic! This is helping so many kids.

        I use to take my daughter here. It's not a terrible place but there are better clinics. Glad I changed locations. The nurses would never really speak to my husband at her checkups. He's always been present in all of our daughters check up. It makes us uncomfortable knowing that they don't care to communicate with him. I shouldn't remind anyone to also communicate as well. There are better places then here

      Hi Susana, thank you for writing in to let us know about your concerns. In review of this matter and the connected phone call, it seems like there may have been a miscommunication that occurred when you left the phone call before we were finished explaining the situation. In no way was your visit cancelled or your family denied care. I’ll take the opportunity here to relay the information you may have missed when you hung-up. We had made a special exception to support some of the unique needs of your family by completing telehealth visits as needed. You were requesting specific medications at this upcoming visit that are not generally given without specific tests or in-person exams. Cat in this case was continuing to support your family with the telehealth visit but was requesting that additional testing be completed so she could make the best decision on how best to treat. This testing would have been done in the car and not in the office and Cat would have still completed the telehealth visit after the testing. Had we been able to talk with you about the situation, both Cat and our office would have done everything we could to figure out the best way to support you. It’s unfortunate to see this review despite the work we have done with you and your family, including your provider going above and beyond to address your specific needs as a family.       Hi Marlenne, thank you for writing to let us know about your experience. It looks like it has been almost 6 months since your last visit so it’s unfortunate to only hear about these concerns now. Without knowing any specifics it’s hard to address the concerns you’ve brought up after such a long period of time. I assume that you are referring to our medical assistants since we do not have nurses. The role of the medical assistant is to complete vitals on the patient and to gather basic information from the family to move you on to speak with your medical provider. As a father who also attends visits for my child, I can empathize with wanting to be an active part of the visit. If you had concerns with your provider not listening to you, I would love to hear more. The medical assistants, however, are working to obtain very specific information as quickly as possible to make sure you can talk as a family with your medical provider. I’m sorry to hear that their effort to complete their task may have been taken as a slight towards any member of the family. This is certainly not the case and all members are the family are encouraged to actively take part in their child’s healthcare. Richard [email protected]
