"Pleasantly Surprised" ... These are the words that flashed across my mind after completing a delicious meal at Thai Plates Cuisine. From the outside, this inconspicuous and unpretentious restaurant is NOT a reflection of the quality of the food you will receive. The family style service is a welcome change from the normal controlled atmosphere of a typical restaurant. Actually 4.5 stars. It's very good but not amazing. Smallish portions n not that spicy, flavorful tho. If they were in Tucson they'd rule.
I enjoyed my eggplant with pork My husband's grilled shrimp salad would have been excellent if the shrimp were actually grilled n the spicy dressing was less salty. Plenty of shrimp tho.
Quite a few tables at lunch on Friday mostly old white people. We'd eat there again if we're in the neighborhood. It's a tiny little place tucked away in a shopping center. Easy to miss
