Please give yourself this opportunity to learn all your body and mind is capable of. The teacher was patient, kind, and knowledgeable. The other students and teachers also gave a welcoming vibe. I'm so excited to come back and start this journey to better health, strength, and self defense skills.

I'm confused, on your website it says your classes are 6:30pm to 8:30pm...but on Google it's 9am to 5 pm care to help? I just want to know if I have the right schedule to join after quarantine.

In years past I’ve studied Tae Kwon Do with a former New York State champion. For a short time I studied Nihon Goshen Aikido with Sensei Robert MacEwen in Middletown NY. I was drawn to Wing Tsun because I recently turned the big 50 and this is a martial art I can practice and improve well into my 70s and hopefully beyond. Sifu Sonnenberg has been practicing martial arts and Wing Tsun for just over 35 years. Sifu Frank Jones has been studying for well over a decade and has traveled abroad to learn and represent Wing Tsun. Many of my fellow students have more than five years experience and are now beginning to work with Sifu in order to achieve a level of proficiency where they can become official practitioners and teach on their own. The focus and passion for Wing Tsun at the school is simply amazing. Part of Leung Ting’s success with Wing Tsun is the strict adherence to the curriculum design. He took what he learned from his studies with IP Man and put together a system of study that looks to efficiently convey the spirit and technical abilities of Southern Style Wing Chun Kung Fu to anyone willing to put in the time and energy. While it’s a group class you spend most of your time working one on one with a partner on a specific skill. During class Sifu is constantly moving you around to different partners to work on different skills. I try to make 2 classes a week but often just make one. Regardless Sifu Frank Jones always knows exactly where he left off on my training. It’s impressive. If you ever wanted to learn the real deal Kung Fu that you see in the movies this is it.

Its a great place to learn self defense, it may seem weird at first or even not real but if you take the time to train and practice, and actually research or watch some of the films that bring a great representation of the Wing Tsun form than you will fully understand the effectiveness of this form of Martial Arts. The instructor's sometimes peer instructors are very helpful for your better understanding of the form and are great into giving you a helping hand when learning new techniques. At most things may seem rough or not right but by going through this class you will have a great mind of understanding that this form is derived by change and that each technique is a base to what you can make of it when defending yourself. I recommend though going through the class myself, to be able to integrate the philosophy of being rooted and soft but fast, these three aspects of the class is something you will see everyday when you learn a new technique.

Thank you very much for your 5 stars review!I have been trying to get Google to correct this for months. There is something wrong with their system I think. The school's open hours are 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Mon, Tue, Thurs. Students can arrive then and warm up until class starts at 7 pm. Class is over at 8 pm. The school remains open until 8:30 pm during which students often practice or I hold a private lesson.Sifu Keith Sonnenberg
