Residence Inn by Marriott Phoenix Mesa East

There was a homeless guy sleeping in lobby all night, then getting breakfast in the morning. Otherwise the hotel was fine, room a little dirty, and breakfast good.

In my 40 years of traveling and being a LOYAL Marriott, this place was the worst ever experience. Kayleigh was useless, just citing policy and what she could not do. Little was done to find a solution. There was no manager to talk with or even call. Then I had to call Marriott, twice because the first one disconnected me. When I finally talked to a CS person, again they told me of all the things they couldn't do. Then the supervisor was able to find another hotel, because they cancelled my reservation without any notice or post notification. So I had to pay over 50% more for my stay that I booked 7 months earlier. Marriott has lost my trust and now I will find the best value.

This location has the 2-room suites, which are nice. Overall a good stay, but the AC was set way too cold in one room and too warm in the other. There was no way to adjust rooms independently.
