I rated them 5 stars until recently when they mentioned that in order to "belong" to the church, one must take a class and sign an agreement (Sounds like Scientology to me) to tithe and volunteer at that church. From what I know, this is not Biblical. The church is for believers and unbelievers - everyone belongs... no commitment, agreement or contract required. I love the worship and most of the sermons and while their hearts might be in the right place, we won't be going here anymore. In response to the pastors comment... I don'tbelieve I misunderstood. The Terminology used was " In order to belong". It is not biblical to have memberships that require signing a contracts for commitments. Not only can everybody attend, but everybody belongs in a house of God. I don't believe the contract is a good representation of who Christ is. Some people might thrive being held to a contract but requiring it for a membership to "belong", in my opinion, is wrong.

We have been members here for 7 years. We have loved attending. The biblical messages are delivered in a way that gives the history and meaning as well as the application for daily life. Unfortunately, like most churches, once your children reach the student ministry they are required to attend on Wednesdays. This is not doable for students in any kind of accelerated school or one that requires nightly homework. It's very disappointing because we have loved it here.
