I met Luana of Aliria Adult Placement Agency back in early Dec 2019 when my dads doctor refer a social worker who can help us look for an assisted living place for my dad. Launa showed us few group homes as well as a small size facility based on our requests given my dads physical limitation (yet fiercely emphasizing his independence) and language barrier as well as our financial means. My dad & I took the tour without any prior knowledge of what to expect, and Launa asked various questions to home owners, questions I never thought of asking. As she promised, she did not make follow-up calls to me as she emphasized she didnt want to pressure us, which I really appreciated. After much thinking, my dad decided he was not ready for assisted living. As often in life, things dont go as you planned. Couple months ago, my dad had a fall and became basically bed bound, requiring 24hr care. I could not provide the care he needed, so the best option was assisted living. When he was transferred to rehab center after the hospital, I immediately contacted Launa for help. She showed me & my sister several group homes near my place so I can easily visit my dad. She asked many questions on our behalf during visits. The place that we finally decided to accept was one place that Launa did not visit with us due to timing. However, my sister & I felt we asked the right questions. I communicated directly with the group home owner and simply let Launa know the result. After making all the arrangements for move in & couple days before my dad was to be discharged, there was miscommunication about the price and extra costs that was not disclosed to me earlier by the owner. When I contacted Launa for help, she immediately contacted the owner and negotiated the price down to what I expected the price to be. Without Luana, I would have had to pay more than what I expected or scramble to find a new place. It has been a very stressful month for me and my family, but having Luana to help find a place for my dad was a great relief. I love the fact that she asks lot of questions and present things in friendly and yet gentle manner without pressure to make immediate decision. I highly recommend Luana for finding a right place for your parent. It helped our family.

I can not say enough good things about this agency Luana went out of her way to help me thru the whole process of placing my mother in a group home   She worked overtime to make sure that my mother was happy in the home. Her help did not stop once she was placed in the home she actually went and visited my mother to see if she was happy. All the homes she showed me 7 in total were all first class very friendly and clean with people who care about there patients   I would not hesitate to recommend her and this service if you are looking to place a loved one.  She made hard decisions so much easier on me and my mother.
