Motel 6 Kingman, AZ Route 66 East

I gave them an overall 3 because this is the second time we've stayed here. The first time, my only complaint would have been the shower, no ice, no air. Customer service was outstanding. This time, not so much. We're on the backside. We've got people sitting in the car smoking weed. I booked online, so when I checked in, the girl working the counter this time was not so customer friendly... very rude! She was busy texting, claiming she was texting the hotel manager. I think I pissed her off when I questioned why she needed everyone's ID and if they had a policy change in the last month. That wasn't how they did it last time, and it's very inconvenient. I have to run back back and forth to the car. A simple explanation would have been appreciated without her attitude.

Sometimes it is difficult to determine whether one should stay at a place based on reviews. Are some people really picky and judgemental or am I just not seeing what they see. Anyway, this is by far one of the nicest Motel 6. The gal at the front desk was a delight to deal with. Our room was on the 2nd floor. The hotel is either new or the rooms recently redone. Nice black out curtains. The king bed was really comfortable. The furnishings are nice but no comfy chair to sit on. No carpet making things nice and clean to walk on. This place was clean, no smell. Had a comfy, quiet night. There is a shower tub which makes for a great soak with lots of hot water. All in all this was a great place to stay and the price was right. If you are expecting a fridge, microwave or coffee machine, this isn't for you. But if all you need is a good night's sleep, this is the place. Another thing, the lamps and end table have USB plugs.

The rooms are okay for that price and the front desk was kind and helpful. It was surprisingly quite in the night, I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Reservation made and paid for via Booking, but on site they said there was no reservation. No attempt was made to solve the problem either. Paid $80 and they won't let you into the room you paid for. Great!
