Green Valley Fire District Station #153

We are snowbirds renting in GV. We came home after dinner out and found the smoke alarm chirping. Unable to contact the owner of the house, I bought 9 volt batteries and replaced the battery. That did not solve the problem so I called GV Fire. A volunteer fireman, Jonathan Z, responded and installed another battery. The chirping continued. He called the chief and recieved permission to install a new smoke detector. We offered to pay but were told "No charge, we want you to be safe." What wonderful service in a very timely manner! We.appreciate GV Fire and Jonathan! Thanks!

My mother was brought to the emergency room tonight by the fire department. The trauma doctor on call was told by the EM S person that they dropped her. We are wondering if this is true and were kind of thinking that maybe this was miscommunication so we called the fire department. They will not tell me if she was dropped or not and they told me I have to file an open records request tomorrow which could take up to 30 days. Meanwhile, my mother is in the hospital and trauma doctor wants to know what happened! Keep in mind I am her conservator and her legal guardian and have the legal right to access to her medical. Its nice to know theyre more concerned with covering their own than with the health outcomes of our citizens! My mother is in the hospital emergency room right now and we cannot get complete information from Green Valley fire in order to insure mother is properly treated. Now shes going to have to endure additional tests while she is sick with other issues that were the reason she was going to the emergency room! Now we are not even sure that they would put this in the report because they are probably covering their own, and we think this because now we have reason not to trust them.

Unfortunately I had to call 911 twice in my Mother's last couple of months. The Green Valley fire department was very quick to respond and completely professional each time.
