Dr.Gause is truly an exceptional and compassionate person. I presented with a complex case for my cervical spine and he took the time to actively listen and care for me. Dr.Gause saved my life.

It's simple - Dr. Gause is my JAM. He changed my life with a spinal fusion. He doesn't know this, but I'm coming back for a neck fusion, too. Great bedside manner; he cares about his patients' life, in general. 100% recommend.

Ive never had a bad experience with the office staff. Dr. Gause and his assistant, Liz, are caring and thorough. Dr. Gause took the time to listen, review the MRIs we had brought, assessed the situation and offered many options before surgery. Dont be overwhelmed by the hype of Top Doctor awards (selected by healthcare professional peers) conducted by PHOENIX Magazine. Dr. Gause deserves this award yearly!! Dont let your pain overcome your actions. Remember were all human, including Doctors, and maybe theyre running behind because they had to comfort a patient who didnt have a great outcome or had to answer a dozen questions a concerned family member had. There arent enough words to thank Dr. Gause!!

Made to wait over an hour after my appointment time. When the Doctor finally arrived he wanted to talk about my tennis elbow. This was my 4th visit. I'm in there for multiple neck surgeries. After a few minutes of looking at my elbow I decided that my multiple experiences here were all going in the wrong direction. From doing stretches for a physical growth on my spine to not valuing my time I couldn't find a reason to stay so I walked out. They made appointments for me to do tests and then scheduled appointments for the follow up before the tests they scheduled were even done. What a waste of my time at every step. My new doctor requested the results from the nerve block twice and only got office visit notes both times so I had to go back and get them myself in person. They seem to be very poorly ran in my opinion. I would never feel comfortable having Dr Gause operate on my spine when he can't even show up on time or talk about the real problems. Oh yeah, my tennis elbow is fine, but I'm still trying to get my neck surgery done after wasting months at the Spine institute. John PS- while sitting in the exam room I stared at his Phoenix magazine Dr of the year award. After leaving I went to my Dr office next door and saw the same magazine with different "winners" listed. What a scam Phoenix magazine! They are all fake awards! Lmao, how appropriate for this office!
