Stephen William Ripple, MD

Dr Ripple was very easy to talk to, he explained the procedure and pros/ cons of having shoulder surgery. Day of surgery he stopped by early and was helpful, telling how long it will be before my surgery. I would highly recommend him for rotator cuff surgery.

Absolutely no bedside manner or empathy regarding my pain. Waited 4 months to contact me for 2nd visit no mri even though i completed therapy. Surgery will be needed. Upset to the point of tears with my husband witnessing his demeanor. Told me to find another doctor after 9 months of waiting for treatment. Run from this place and doctor hes the worse!

Nothing but praise for Dr Ripple. He worked with me through my shoulder injury that eventually needed minor surgery, and within the 6 months recovery time, I was better than I can remember. Very professional staff. No complaints here.

When I came back to Phoenix ,after working and seeing a top notch doctor in Vegas for a torn medial meniscus and MCL, I was referred to banner ortho , and scheduled with this guy because the doc my doc referred me to is in Chandler. Right away Ripple told me that my knee injury was arthritis and that is what was causing the pain and swelling, never mind that it started on 10/15 when I was running, and he has not laid eyes on my medical records because they never requested them. He told me that professional football players recover from an injury in 4 weeks and he thinks that I need to quit wearing the brace that my doc had custom fitted for me that I received on 12/31, because it's not going to help arthritis. Unfortunately I don't get paid millions of dollars to sit on my behind when I am injured so I was back at work 3 days after the injury and worked 4-5 10 hour days a week for 2 months. This guy had a set notion in his head and had no desire to hear anything but what he read on the MRI report which was incorrect, my Vegas doc and I went over the MRI together and he showed me exactly what the issues were and this guy just argued that it was just arthritis. I don't take meds of any kind and I won't do surgery, I was looking for a new doctor to continue care until this pain and instability is resolved and he definitely is not it. I will be going to an actual professional, who takes time to know what is going on before making asinine diagnoses without even seeing records or listening to what I tried to tell him.
