I wish we would have read the reviews for this doctor ahead of time. Unfortunately we trusted that the title of Dr. meant he would be able to help my nephew and his stomach issues. Instead we were greeted by a lady who was short, curt, and seemed quite put out with having to deal with patients. He spent more time filling out his New patient paperwork than the doctor took in diagnosing him. From the time he handed in his paperwork to him walking out was less than 10 minutes. During that time frame half of it was spent making sure he had another appointment in 30 days. In that ten minutes time I was able to watch as the front office lady argued with at least two patients about billing and the offices TOTAL lack of communication and care. I suppose I should have taken a note of the office environment as an indicator of the care he was gonna receive. Although the doctor did NOT ask my (18) year old nephew what his issues were? How long they had been going on? Or what has been done about it so far? He did ask him if he smokes marijuana and when he told him every once in awhile he proceeded to tell him thats his problem. When he tried to tell him he gets frequent nose bleeds. The DOCTOR then asked him if he snorts cocaine. When he replied no. The DOCTOR told him, its the weed thats causing his issues. When he told him his grandmother and great grandmother both died of colon cancer at extremely young ages. It was ignored. His final diagnoses was to, quit smoking weed for 30 days and call your PCP to get on anxiety medication. Unfortunately if he would have looked at his paperwork he would have known hes already on anxiety meds. I suppose he couldnt be bothered with such menial things. He was specifically referred to a gastroenterologist because his doctors have exhausted all their options and therefore he needed a specialist. He was profiled and dismissed because of the answer that he gave the doctor. We have always told him to be honest and forthright about everything so, the doctor can treat him the best he can. This was his first appointment that he has had by his self since turning 18. He did not come out of that office with any kind of plan for helping him. No lab work or basic stool sample for him to do, in the mean time. You know. Just in case the DOCTORSdiagnoses that. him hitting a vape pen three weeks ago is the cause of his severe stomach issues that have been going on for four years now. What he did leave with was a sense shame and feeling completely put down by a medical professional He had no answers accept to stop smoking weed. His first experience with a doctor has left him feeling as if he should have lied to him in order for him to even be heard. I found it quite ironic that the only thing he DID leave with was an appointment card to see him in 30 days. Almost as if he was just bringing them in like cattle in order to be paid. But, hey Im just speculating. Please do your research about this doctor and listen to the reviews. There seems to be a common theme here.

This place is wildly unprofessional. My first impression was calling to set up an appointment and told him I would receive a call back just to have to call back the next day and be told the same thing,Nothing that day either.. So I finally get the appointment set up for an endoscopy and a colonoscopy. Ructions they give you do not say youre not supposed to drink even water two hours before your procedure. Its in fine print if you rip the front of the label off of the prescription and read A few pages in.. absolutely my fault. So they tell me they could get me in the next morning, so I did not have to drink the solution again and go through all the stuff, but I would not be able to eat until the next day. I was totally fine with it. Its absolutely my fault so I will take consequences. When I called to set up that appointment, Dawn flipped out on me( Same person that was supposed to call me back for the initial appointment) She said she doesnt know why they would tell me that because there isnt anything on her end, and even if there was she already booked it.. At this point, Im just confused why Im being given attitude at all some situation that seems to be going on between them(GI dr and procedure place).. So she says she will call me back after she reaches them and let me know. So here I am not eating waiting for her to call me back, never does call until the next morning and then let me know that they dont have an opening. So basically I starved Absolutely nothing, all she had to do was call me back and say that there is no opening for tomorrow so I couldve ate and scheduled a different appointment. Im telling you I have never ever ever gone to a place thats supposed to be a professional setting and received such unprofessional customer service. Also, if you smoke marijuana, definitely avoid this place because the doctor will tell you that all your Symptoms even if its being septic are from marijuana usage and will continue as long as you smoke it I Was treated like a straight POS drug addict . My woman and family told me I should have my doctor refer me to a G.I. doctor when that happened and I should have listened. Please listen to this now and avoid this place. And if you have any other similar instances with Don, I would really like them so we can get to the Better Business Bureau.

I went to this practice despite the reviews, after my experience yesterday I understand why their reviews are what the are. Short of being accused of smoking weed and being a diabetic neither which are true. I ended up leaving in so much pain and nauseous neither issue even being address, the doctor basically saying there as nothing he could do. I left the office in tears. I will not be returning or referring this practice.
