We were referred here when it was discovered our 11 year old cattle dog mix had 2 masses in his mouth that came back as 2 different types of cancer. As a pet owner, this was absolutely devastating. I had already made an appointment for Ty to be seen before the biopsy results, so 2 days after the confirmation of cancer, we were in to see Dr. Balke. Ty is reactive to other dogs and they were amazing at making sure he didn't encounter any and that he was comfortable. When I made the appointment I was told we had the option of doing the procedure same day. Sign me up! We drove an hour and a half from Globe so I wanted to make as few trips as possible. From the second Dr. Balke came in he was so positive and eased our fears. When we left Ty for the surgery we felt he was in the best possible hands and were pretty confident that Ty was in the best possible hands. The surgery took a long time but Dr. Balke did not rush through it. He cared for our Ty as if it were his own beloved pet. It was after 7pm when he was released and we headed home. Shortly after I received a text from Dr. Balke asking how Ty was. I sent daily pictures and Dr. Balke always replied back. Biopsy results came back clear as I figured they would. Dr. Balke is the best! I don't usually write reviews but I needed to share how wonderful Dr. Balke and his staff are.

Meet Luna! My happy healthy healing sweet lil' girl. She had an accident at her previous home that shattered her lower jaw. She was in excruciating pain. I picked her up from her old home on a Tueaday at 4pm was called the AZVDS for help on my way to get her praying they could see her ASAP. they called back with a app for her first thing Wednesday morning! They took us right back no wait! Dr. Paulina had already received the records from thw wmergwnt vet that had treatwr her monday! She took time to understand my fears for Luna and explained different case scenarios. The billing was reasonable and I was able to get care credit to help. I left her in their care and they called me with updates and I was able to pick up my girl the same day at 3pm.
The whole process was seamless. They care so much. Luna is doing really well at home. I understand how to give her medicine. And they did free follow ups for the surgery and free x rays to make sure that things are healthy well. It was hands down the most calming experience that i've ever had in an emergency situation period thank you every single one of your staff is exceptional. Luna sends tail wags and little baby kisses to everyone of you... see you for our follow up soon!

I was referred here by my regular pet dentist after my dog was attacked by a larger dog - we were looking at dental specialists because there was concern about mouth damage from her bite wounds. They got us in despite a packed schedule, and provided some much needed anxiety relief for me! My dog didn't need anything more than extra antibiotics and pain meds (she ran out of what she got from the emergency vet that performed her surgery), they didn't charge us anything for the visit, and gave me some after hours emergency contact information in case my dog took a turn over the weekend. I didn't end up needing it, but the peace of mind was wonderful!
Everyone in the office was positively amazing, especially Drs. Balke and Malott. If I have any specialty vet needs in the future, I will happily make the hour+ drive to go here, no question.

The doctor and staff were stellar. They assuaged our concerns and took fantastic care of our pet. we dealt with this same veterinary clinic years ago and had a like experience. So over the last 10 years, this has been a wonderful group staff and doctors.

Our 9 yr old Cane Corso had very bad overgrown gums. He had the oral surgery to correct it. The team was wonderful from the star to finish and follow up.
He is also NOT good with other dogs. They were very accommodating in keeping him separated.
I hope we never have to go back but we sure would have necessary and highly recommend!
Thank you for taking such good care of Blu and the communication through all of it!
