My dogs Tasha has been seeing Dr Dixon since she was three and had her first TPLO. I an ICU nurse and was very impressed with the practice and outcome. Tasha's second TPLO on the opposite side was done when she was ten. During the surgery it was discovered she had a second degree block. Her heart dropped very low and Dr Dixon and his team did appropriate actions to remedy the situation They saved my dogs life and complete TPLO. I was very impressed since I had done hearts and they understand they can surprise you. Tasha had back stenosis and some ivdd but is not a candidate for surgery because of her heart condition. Dr Dixon was able to diagnose her problem with out radiologic studies. Very impressive. Tasha is now on proper medications and though not running marathon is enjoying life. I would recommend Dr Dixon to anyone whose animal needs surgery.

I can attest to the Emergency Room and Dermatology Office. Our Golden Retriever, Spring, ate the bristles of our barbecue grill cleaning brush. Emergency surgery removed them. She was like new after recovering. Wonderful staff and facilities. Fast forward to our Golden Retriever, Joy. Super allergies and many a trip to the Vet for hot spots and infected ears, led us to Dr Lewis in the Dermatology office at AVS. Joy is on allergy shots after his expert advice to get allergy testing. She's a different dog. Happy and free of her allergy issues. He is an amazingly insightful and kind professional.
