Picazzo's Healthy Italian Kitchen Gilbert

My friend is in town and has celiacs so trying to find a restaurant that meets her dietary needs is difficult. We stumbled on Picazzos on a gluten free restaurant recommendation site so figured we would give it a try. My friend was overwhelmed with the amount of GF options - they even had a dedicated pizza oven for GF crusts. The food was incredible. We had the Focaccia bread, bacon Mac & cheese, fungi Florentine pizza, and for dessert the apple crisp and the tiramisu. The portions were huge - great value for what you spend, especially since everything is GF. This will most likely become a regular spot now when she comes out to visit! We might even go back right before she leaves! What a great find!

This is my favorite restaurant. As someone with a wheat allergy, I love being able to eat everything on the menu. My kids and husband (who are not gluten-free) love it as well. The spinach artichoke dip is my favorite thing on this planet.

As a celiac going to a 99% gluten free restaurant is a rare find. I would give Picazzos double the stars if I could. This is hands down the best meal Ive had since being diagnosed with celiac disease in 2020. We tried drinks, an app, pasta, pizza and desserts to get a full taste of the menu. Oh my gosh!!!! This restaurant showcases how good food does not have to contain gluten. I had a key lime pie martini and the attention to ingredients is so strong, the rim had gluten free graham crackers!! The focaccia dipped in olive oil and balsamic was light and fluffy. We ordered a half loaf and still had some for leftovers. The pasta - we ordered the Mac and cheese with bacon. Youd never know this had gluten free pasta in it. The flavor combo was delish. Good portion so theres some to take home. The pizza - Funghi Florentine packed so much flavor between the pesto, garlic, mushrooms, tomatoes, mozzarella and spinach. The portion was very generous so we have left overs to enjoy tomorrow. The dessert - tiramisu and hot apple crisp. Again big portions! The tiramisu was better than any Ive had before, GF or not. The lady fingers and cream combo with the dusting of chocolate were phenomenal. The hot apple crop paired with vanilla ice cream was a fabulous combination of oat strudel, cinnamon, apples and yumminess. We took home some of the crisp for tomorrow. Thank you to RiKenna for your help with the menu and suggestions. Huge thank you to the owners for creating such an inclusive, discus, safe restaurant for people like me.
