The owner of the company picked up a 20K check for the soft scape portion of our backyard in January 2019. Alexon never returned. Kept telling us our job was next. Finally, stopped responding to us at all. We have filed a complaint with Registry of Contractors for job abandonment. You can validate our statement by checking the ROC website for pending disputes.

WARNING!! DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY! I hired Alexon( TJ Wilcoxson and Scott McNeil) to build my family's dream backyard. I spent over 250K to build a pool/ramada etc. Without getting into great details regarding what was one of the most painful experiences from failing every inspection(or not being there for them when scheduled) terrible communication, months and months behind schedule I still did not want to write a bad review as I take that very seriously and do not ever write bad reviews.Unfortunately at this point I have no choice as I really need to make sure everyone is aware of this company and it's owners TJ Wilcoxson and Scott McNeil. In August of 2018 I notified the owners that my pool had multiple structural cracks in the interior structure of the pool and it was seen visibly leaking out into my backyard as one of the walls is raised above ground and it was easy to see. Please keep in mind that this is only 2 years after it was put in brand new and I have a written contract which states that they will warranty the structural integrity of the pool for its lifetime. After waiting weeks for one of them to come take a look at it Scott shows up and see's the obvious damage. He says that he will need to get someone else to come take a look at. Weeks upon weeks go by and finally another person shows up. At that time I attempt to contact Scott regarding what they found out and when we can begin repairs. He states that they will need to have the soil and concrete tested so they can figure out what went wrong and how to fix it. At this point it has been a few months and although I am frustrated that it is taking so long I am happy that something appears to be getting done to fix it. Eventually another month or so later at the end of November a company comes out to test the soil and to take core samples of the concrete in my pool to help determine what repairs are going to be needed. Once again I am encouraged that we are getting closer to fixing the issue. The company that came out told me that they would have there reports completed within 5-7 business days. I continue to attempt to contact the owners to find out what we found out and to get a plan to repair the structural cracks in my pool. At that point I do not hear back from either TJ or Scott and at this point they have not returned a single email or call. I even contacted the company that came out to do soil and core samples to see if I can get any information from them regarding the reports but I was told that the owners of Alexon will not allow them to release the information to me. I also come to find out that the soil and core company could not complete there findings because the owners would not give them the original plans for the pool so they could complete their analysis. So here we are Jan 9, 2019 and I have multiple structural cracks in my 2 year old pool, 3 core sample concrete holes in my pool and have had no calls back or communication from the owners at all. It is owners like this that give hardworking, honest and ethical contractors a bad name. My only advise to others DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR ANY COMPANY WHERE TJ WILCOXSON OR SCOTT McNEIL ARE A PART OF!!

I usually am too lazy to write reviews, good or bad, so it takes either a really good or a really bad experience to motivate me to write a review. I had a rough experience the whole time, but it wasn't until I had to hire someone else to fix their mistake that I decided to write this. I'll get straight to the point on why you shouldn't use this company and if you choose to read on will then describe a more full experience with the pros and cons... but here it is: They fail to communicate and it creates a horrible experience. Beyond that I have a really bad taste on 2 accounts. - They moved my pool pump as I asked, which is awesome, but then proceeded to mount the electrical boxes from my pool pump to my neighbors house. After 3 weeks of attempting them to correct the issue and being ignored, I hired Mr Electric and paid $360 out of my own pocket to fix their mistake and avoid being fined by the HOA. (Mr Electric did an awesome job by the way.) Still no response from Alexon to make it right. - The interior pebble tec pool lining is crumbing away in many places and it looks like garbage. I'll clarify that they didnt do the lining so this isn't a craftmanship problem, but they drained my pool to install waterline tile and then didn't get to that part of the job until 2 months later, exposing pebble tec to the sun the whole time. I will now have to get it refinished at my own expense because Alexon will not respond to any of my attempts to contact them. Now, if you're still considering using Alexon here's a summary of my experience. The sales process was great - Alexon brought good ideas and creative 3D designs to the table and was very responsive in the design revisions and quoting revisions. Good job Brant. After I signed contract and put money down it was radio silence and Brant disappeared even though he said he would be my PM. He quoted me 4 to 6 weeks to start the project + 4 to 6 weeks to complete the project but Alexon didn't start for 12 weeks (after several one-way commucations from me to them asking for a revised timeline to reset on expectations, with no response each time except for once which TJ called to apologise for the lack of communication). They finally sent a guy out to drain the pool and move my pool pump which gave me the illusion of work starting, but then proceeded to do nothing for another 6 weeks while the sun beat down on my exposed pebble tec pool lining before they sent subs out to get to work. Total timeline: signed in October, job finished end of March (was supposed to be done by the new year) The subs they sent did a pretty good job. All my neighbors are still complimenting how good my back yard looks... which is the only reason this is a 2 star review instead of a 1 star review. I say pretty good because there are some cosmetic issues left behind... Cons: - No weed barrier was put down... Weeds are now growing through the turf they installed and the granite rocks they put down. Shame on me for not double checking that weed barrier was in the scope of work. Shame on Alexon for not saying that it wasn't included and being proactive to suggest it. - After settling a few weeks, the seams between travertine tiles are not flush and it's visibly uneven. Additionally the coping cuts on the back side of the pool are uneven and kind of sloppy. - I asked them to move a plant and they dug up the wrong one, then replanted it. Now it's dead :(. Good news is the plant they were supposed to move is going to make it through the replant. Pros: - my back yard looks awesome, regardless of the craftmanship flaws. - they used a GPS lighting box which auto adjusts to turn on the exterior lights at sunset, really cool feature. - they did a good job retrofitting the drip system and creating drainage so that rain water doesn't build up on my pool deck by the house. I think Alexon usually does big jobs and mine was relatively small - they sure made me feel that way the whole time. Use them at your own risk. If they get back to me to make good on any their mistakes I'll update this review.
