I was about to give a 2 star, but I felt the doctors are good so far. What is most upsetting is the older receptionist that always seems to be there. I assume her hair was white, but it could have been a light blonde. You can tell she is only there for a paycheck and want to feel like she had authority in her position, but she is just plain rude and snooty. Our 1st appt here our appointment was at 8am. When we got there, the door to their office was still locked. We looked thru the window and she looked at me smiled and turned away quick as I waved. She got up after a few minutes and walked to the back, i assumed to come around and open the door, but that wasn't the case. So I assumed it wasn't open yet. We waited 20 minutes past our appt outside the door until a different patient waved at the door when we realized she was back in her seat, finally opened the door. We told her we've been waiting there. She tried coming up with excuse, but quickly stopped when she realized it wasn't just me waiting outside, so was my husband. Who sat down right away. The 2nd time, we were there 17 minutes late, but our appt was at 7:40am. I remember I was told by someone, maybe the person scheduling on the phone, but I was told they actually open at 8. I even googled just to be sure. I found that weird that they scheduled something before 8, but they explained it off in a weird way. Saying my appt will actually be at 8. We got there at 7:57. We were told to sit down as I went to the touch screen to sign in. We had to wait to talk to the rude receptionist while another woman sat there who seemed to be there just to look like she feel bads for you as she stares at you the whole time. When she finally called us up we told her why we were late, even though we did try, but we were hopeful because of what we were told. She had an attitude after I explained, then says "I don't know who told you that, but that's not true. We're open by 7am" The we mentioned the last and why we thought it was 8 am, since it was her that didn't open the door right away. She made the excuse well maybe the system was down, which doesn't make sense. She then pointed out it was 8:03 now and scheduling is out into September. So instead of getting upset I started to ask a question, but before I could finish asking, she was answering me assuming my question but with quite the attitude telling me no there is nothing we can do for you we're booked the rest of the day. Then I finished asking if there was something that can be done for his prescription. Then she was like oh as she shrank in her seat, yet just a second a go her back was straight with her nose in the air. She then said I'll go ask. She came back said yes and came to the front with I assume the dietician and she said yes too. Finding out a few days later, turns out no we can't get the prescription filled without having the appt. Which is sad considering banner could do at least a months worth told hold us over for the mean time. Unfortunately banner has more bad doctors. Interesting in one day they called twice and that's a first, to make sure I made an appt as soon as possible. You can tell that receptionist was trying to cover her butt, cause all that typing she was doing while I was standing in front of her she, must have been her putting in the notes that I canceled the appt. Each person I've needed to call has each said that's what they were told. I was a no show or canceled. I was there! the rude receptionist didn't want to check and see if they were still willing to see us. Even as we left another mother of a patient mentioned she has problems with her all the time. She told us she should have looked past the few minutes. You can tell she wanted us to argue our point, because I'm pretty sure we all had the same look on our face. We're tired of receptionist treating us like we're wasting their time, when our children are here to see specialists for a reason. I'm starting to wish I went off on her when she spoke over me, at least I know for next time. And need to have something to prove the way she talks

Awful. On hold for 2 hours today to schedule an appt for my son. He has chronic croup and upon exam has shown reflux issues contributing. Was referred to pch thru pcp because of this. Once i got through to a person, we cant have him even seen until December. So we get to drag him through flu season, when this issue flares up a lot, before even being seen. Was seeing Scheffler at pch too previously and left after my son lost hearing in ear with tube and was told we had to wait til November. And this was several months ago. I echo the sentiment of every parent posting here. Awful awful people.

The staff is highly uneducated about the systems. No one responds to the call and cancel the appointments without providing prior notice. Will not recommend this location.

We visited Phx Children's GI for our daughter. She needed some imaging and we were advised that we could get an out patient x-ray down the hall. We did what was advised, but should have shopped around. With our insurance, we were charged 5X more than the self-pay price at Simon Med. When we called to inquire, the billing representative stated that they were allowed to charge more because they are a specialty hospital. For a company that claims to have the best interest of their patients at heart, this type of price gouging is almost criminal. We will not be returning, nor referring our friends. If you have any tests ordered here and they suggest that you get it done there, run away!

This practice is sadly no longer providing basic healthcare. Dr. Mcomber is booked until summer of 2023. His NP isnt available either. My sons needs to be seen urgently and they say there is nothing they can do. The front desk tells me we can transfer care to another provider but they are all booking out a long way and if we didnt like that provider we would have to leave PCH. (Dont threaten me with a good time we are going to have to leave anyways to get him seen in a timely manner). Ive left messages for the nurses via an actual person and cant get a call back in over 48 hours now. The office staff is so rude. I needed a note for my son for school and was told to expect it in 7-10 business days. This is not healthcare. This is hope youre lucky enough to have an appointment otherwise youre screwed.
