image I give this company 2 stars only because they do make beautiful, although very expensive, furniture. I did not give them more than 2 stars because their delivery and customer service are awful. I ordered a custom table in January 2019 and as of July 4th 2019 I still do not have the table, although I am told it has been shipped. Every time I have called the furniture store I ordered the table through they have to call Olde Mercantile and are given excuses about the owners being out of town or equipment being broken. I will never order another piece of furniture made by Olde Mercantile.
Update July, 2019 - I upgraded my review to 3 stars because I did finally get the table that I ordered January 21st, 2019 on July 11th, 10 days short of 6 months! I am also upgrading because the company did respond to my review. However, a company needs to realize that regardless of what occurred between dealer and factory, MY customer experience is that it took almost 6 months to get something that I ordered and put a $1,000 deposit on. However, I was, again, very happy with the quality of the table.
Rule #1 when you make a customer wait - tell them why they are waiting. Whether it's a delayed airline flight or a restaurant meal, studies have shown that people are way more patient and satisfied if they understand why they are being made to wait.
