I reached out via email to get a door fabricated and received no fewer than six different follow up emails for more clarifications on what I wanted or what the dimensions for certain parts of the existing door frame were from Jared. A lot of these questions were industry specific questions that I had to look up what was being asked, or I had to ask more follow up questions. This was strange to me since other projects typically have someone from the company come out and work with me on site. This was all done via email. I mentioned on several occasions that dimensions provided were rough and later I realized dimensions given for certain parts of the door were straight up wrong. I said the door jamb was about 8 inches, so a standard jamb size of 4-9/16 should work. I later learned thats not how door jamb measurements worked, but again, Im not the subject matter expert. After I got a quote and paid I reached out for a follow up since no one came out, and was unable to reach Jared as the email inbox was full, so I called the office. I was told the entire process was wrong and that they had an installer that needed to come out to verify the dimensions. Once that happened I had to pay more to get the doors made correctly. I was asked if I was told the rundown of the process and I said no. I still wasnt informed of the entire process at that time. Once the doors were delivered I asked if they were installing and painting them. They said they dont do that. Again, I wasnt told the entire process and needed to follow up with the installer. On install day half of the trim was missing so the installers had to come back a later day - I was charged for this even though Robinson didnt do a full delivery. The installer did a good job, they knew a painter and they did a good job too. The quality of the door is good, the adhesive holding the glass in place is overflowing in areas so Ill have to go back after the paint dries to clean it up. This really wasnt a great experience, for all the times people told me the process in which Robinson works is wrong, I was never told the entire thing. I was left having to pay extra due to errors on Robinsons side. If you do go with them call them, avoid Jared.
