Dr. Caspian has no clue how to be on time for an appointment. After several years of putting up with her blatant disregard for anyone’s time but her own, I informed her we’d have to reschedule our appointment because yet again, she was over 30 minutes late. What does she do? She dropped me as a patient under the guise of finding new employment and lightening her case load. 11 years of a doctor/patient relationship and she drops patients for calling her on her disrespectful tardiness to every appointment. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DR. CASPIAN. Find someone that respects you, your time, and needs.

Dr. Caspian is a blessing in a world filled with physicians rushing the clock and neglecting to treat the whole person. Her sessions are a generous length of time that allows for true communication and understanding of issues so that they may be addressed in the most optimal way possible. I have never met a more compassionate and caring individual in the medical profession or within the general population. The negative responses I see posted below indicate that there is clearly something wrong with the behavior and mentality of that individual poster and would take what was written with a grain of salt. Really the comment is worth completely ignoring. I was recommended to Dr. Caspian by an acquaintance as well as a childhood best friend who saw her nearly a decade ago. I have been under Caspian's professional care for a year and half and I do not know how I would've gotten through recent times without her. She genuinely cares for the individual. I just recommend you are a genuine individual yourself if you want and expect the highest level quality care you can find from a psychiatrist or life coach.

I walked into Dr. Caspians office 13 years ago and it was the best decision I ever made. I was 17 years old and straight out of a psychiatric hospital. I had been to several horrific doctors and psychologists prior, and I was horrified to be in the care of another doctor. Meeting Dr. Caspian was an absolute breath of fresh air. She talked to me like a human, with feelings and thoughts and purpose...I was not a patient to her, I was a person. I would not be where I am today if it weren't for Dr. Caspian. She has taught me that I have always had inner strength...I needed a little guiding to find it. My bipolar diagnosis in 2001 changed my life. Dr. Caspian empowered me, encouraged me, laughed with me, educated me, and applauded my success. Her first priority is patient health, wellness and peace. Dr. Caspian taught me that we are all deserving of stability, love and happiness - and while the darkness may feel incredibly dark - it is only temporary. I have been on medication to manage bipolar disorder for 13 years, and had it not been for her education, patience, knowledge, expertise and ability to listen to my needs, I would never have had the success with medication that I do now. I no longer live in Flagstaff, however I make the 2 hour drive up to see her every 3 months. I have never met a more honest, real, compassionate, and empowering doctor in my life, and quite honestly, I refuse to see anyone else. One day, when Dr. Caspian quits practicing, we will all miss her beautiful soul and guidance deeply. But the impact she has made on not just my life, but an extraordinary amount of others is beyond any thanks I could ever give. I have referred friends, family members, boyfriends and strangers to Dr. Caspian. She is truly a gift, and after 13 years of being a patient, her willingness to hear my needs, make emergency appointments when I'm down, and encourage me when I'm up has never waivered. She has been an incredible blessing to me and my family.

Summary: After going through the scheduling process, including screening forms and a prepayment, and showing up for my appointment, Dr. Caspian said she wouldn't work with me because I glared at her. This caused me emotional harm and distress, and I am concerned that this could happen to someone else. The Details: I filled out Dr. Caspian's lengthy forms to see if she would accept me as a patient. I received a call and was told that I was approved and needed to send a prepay check before an appointment would be scheduled. I had the sent check and made an appointment for a 2 hour intake. I was in between doctors at this time and had 4 days of my Fluoxetine left. I had scheduled my entire day around this appointment and had counted on getting the prescription renewed upon my meeting with Dr. Caspian. I received 2 calls, including one voice mail from the Doctor’s assistant indicating that Dr. Caspian would be 10-15 minutes late. Dr. Caspian was about a half hour late. When I sat down, she asked me how she could help me. I said I wasn't sure and that I needed to know why she was late. She explained that it was a suicidal patient emergency. I was upset and triggered by the lateness and really just needed to know a little about why she was late to better understand and regain my sense of trust in this new doctor. I needed to just absorb what she had said. She then said that she couldn’t work with me because I was angry at her. She went to get me the check I had sent to return it to me. We were talking about it in the lobby after she returned. She said she would continue the conversation in private, turned around and walked up to her office saying I could come if I wanted. I went back up to her office and asked her what I had done wrong. She said I had looked at her and glared at her and that she was uncomfortable. So I started looking down instead of at her and asked her how she thought I could better deal with such a situation, if it would help if I looked down instead of at someone if I was upset with them. She said she did not want to continue the conversation at that point, so I left. I never once said anything threatening or rude, raised my voice, or made any violent gesture. I was upset on the inside, yes, because I was triggered because I have PTSD which is why I was going to see a psychiatrist. If a psychiatrist can’t handle a patient being upset, I really think they shouldn't be in the business. After leaving, I was of course even more upset. I am filing a complaint because I believe that this doctor behaved in a way that was harmful to me and I am concerned that a less strong individual with deeper problems might be even more harmed and indeed end up harming themselves or others.
