Im not one to complain but honestly, Brix disappointed both my husband and I. The soup was great but our dinner (we both got steak and frites) was literally cold when it came out. Not to mention the steak was like a 4oz steak for $50?! And then I got a mock tail literally with zero alcohol and it was $15!!! Our dinner was $200 with a tip and it was probably the biggest waste of money. Highly disappointing and wouldnt recommend. Just way too overpriced for what you get with small portions. Lotus lounge is 10000x better.

Alright, let me set the stage here... my family and I are traveling through the town and aren't equipped to be "dressed to impress". That being said, we are very much foodies, and have tasted both good food and service. This was not that. It almost seems that immediately we were categorized based on what we were wearing. We were told by the waiter that X option wasn't too expensive on the menu, and beyond that we were for the most part ignored most of the night. We did mention that we did not eat pork yet still received a dish with pork, we ordered a bottle of wine and self served most of the night, and really was just left to our own since we arrived (@ ~ 6:10pm). Talking about time, because we were ignored and only a party of 3... we were at the restaurant for nearly 3 hours while others that arrived later, received their appetizers, drink service, food, and desert before us. All in all, the food was okay, the service left me wanting more, and the menu was minimalistic.

We ordered duck breast and steak frites, each dish is $51. The serving size is so much smaller than the pictures uploaded by other customers. Our waitress is nice she told us the menu has recently changed and she asked the kitchen then told us the duck is 8-11oz depending on the cut while the duck breast we got looks more like 4-6oz. The steak is cooked very well, tender and juicy however it's only three thin slices, the bone marrow is grilled to almost dried, and the fries has probably been sitting under the heater for too long so that it's super crunchy and the texture is like cookies. Probably won't be back again because of its value. At the same price level you get so much better food in Old town Scottsdale/Phoenix Biltmore area, and this is Flagstaff.

We have been coming here for years and love Brix. The renovation is beautiful and opens up the space a lot. It definitely makes the restaurant feel different and takes away a little bit of the charm, but its the best for the restaurant. The food was good and the staff were friendly and helpful as always. The prices have gone up quite a bit and while the food is good, I just dont think that the cheese board is worth $50+ dollars. We will be back because Brix is absolutely one of the best in Flag!
