Apricus Medical Group - Flagstaff Family Care Fourth Street

The staff is very diligent at getting in referrals and following up on patients care. Very well run office. Doctor was very nice, listened and honest. Overall very happy with the level of care of both the front office staff and the doctors.

My pcp left and I was not notified of this. I can't get an inhaler filled till I get established with a new pcp. The office won't pick up their phone so I can make an appointment. I was only able to get a hold of the MA Kim who refused to request a refill for an albuterol inhaler, she forwarded me to the front desk who again won't pick up. She told me to go to the emergency department or an urgent care. I said I'm happy to make the appointment but I need an inhaler now.

The doctor never put in my prescription. I called to get it filled the next day, and had to answer all of the same questions. I called back and it still hadn't been filled, as they didn't have the names of the prescriptions from the doctor. They never imparted that information to me or the doctor, and just left it as a note with, I guess, a plan to never fill the prescriptions. The staff I spoke with were extremely rude and unpleasant, sighing and being sarcastic if they couldn't hear me as I struggled to speak to them with them. Usually, people go to doctors for things like illnesses, so I would have thought that this would be customary and that bedside manner might be a part of training. I am really anxious about ever going back to them again, if people are going to be this disorganized and unkind.

Doctors, PAs, call it what you want change ALL THE TIME. There is no continuity in care as a result. It seems medical care decisions are made to generate $$ for Apricus and/or to bring the "new doctor" up to speed. Care over time is fragmented with no consistent direction.

Tara was very patient and listened to me and made sure I had no further questions. She was so thorough and asked questions that have never been asked before when having an annual checkup.
