I am delighted to be staying at the most historic motel in America, Ol Faithful on Route 66 in Flagstaff, AZ. I first made the journey from Detroit to Phoenix 48 years ago and have never missed the chance to stay at this wonderful spot when traveling from Sedona, OakCreek, or heading towards the stunning canyons of Arizona. Experience the true majesty of this location and let Ho Joe's be a memorable part of your drive on Route 66.

Beware of the scam. The East Indian man who manages the hotel will add a "local surcharge" to the total and hope you don't notice. I opted to not stay at his hotel and keep driving rather than give in to his dishonesty. Next step is a call to the HJ corporate office and complain that the on-line reservation amounts (quoted and listed on the reservation) isn't being honored and then check the laws around this. Go elsewhere.
Aside from this, this is a terrible quality MOTEL. Shabby, noisy, and once you throw in the person managing it, it's just an awful place to stay.
