        I was only there the night but I can say that I would love to go again. Everything was very comfortable and it was very quiet which was great because I needed to get a good night's sleep. The most outstanding thing happened though I received a phone call mid-afternoon stating that I had left my lunch box in my hotel room. I had been so busy I hadn't realized it. Lucky for me I was still in town and was able to retrieve my lunch box.

        Re: Stolen Property. Dear owner, Your staff or someone there with access to rooms after guests checkout absolutely stole our property. I have a new clue for you someone in possession of the Firestick with an IP Address in the Cottonwood/Clarkdale area with the profile name of Casey logged in and has been using the Firestick to watch tv and movies. You can say you trust your staff, but the fact remains or property was stolen after leaving it in your motel. Thats as shady as it gets. I highly recommend everyone not staying at this establishment. Play with fire, you may get burned. Noteworthy details: Not clean, rooms smelled bad, like musty, and old. Air conditioner / heater mad weird loud noises. No good water pressure for showering. And guard your property cuz it comes up missing, in spite of this place being in business a lot of years and owners trusting the staff there.

      The View Motel is a 34-room motel overlooking the Verde Valley and the Red Rocks of Sedona. We provide some of the nicest accommodations in Cottonwood in no small part because of our location on a quiet hilltop, away from traffic, but still only a short distance to restaurants and shopping. Our lodging offers clean rooms, comfortable beds, a seasonally heated pool and spa, decks and patios with barbecues and beautiful lawns for our guests to use. We proudly provide accommodations at competitive prices for you and your loved ones. Our hilltop location means guests get a spectacular view of the Red Rocks of Sedona and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets that blanket our morning and evening skies over the hotel.

      As we explained to your wife when she called, the housekeeper did not find the back pack. The front desk manager and the head of housekeeping even went down and looked all over the room to see if we could find it. We even looked all over the property. Our housekeepers have been here 20+ years and we have NEVER had a guest accuse them of stealing anything. We have had them turn in phones, IPADS, medications, wallets, purses, backpacks, money, etc. We have a lost and found in the office and a safe to hold valuables. We have even called guests, if we know the room number, to let them know they have left things behind.We 100% trust ALL our staff and especially our housekeepers. We apologize we could not find the back pack, but I assure you it was NOT our housekeepers who took your back pack. Once again, we have never had a theft complaint at this hotel. We have been here since the 1970's.
