Their print center is great! I needed some posters printed and laminated on foam board, and double sided bag stuffers ASAP. I arrived 30 minutes before they closed and they were ready the next morning at 11:00 (Alphagraphics wanted 2 days to quote and 3 days to produce and we have an account with them). The Staples staff was helpful as my email file was too big to go through, so they got me on a PC at no charge so I could add them to a USB drive, all minutes before closing time. The final product was so perfect!!! Yes, I had to pay an expedite fee, but the timing was critical and they delivered while being helpful and professional :)

They close early and deliver late. I ordered "same-day business cards" on Monday before 2pm, so they could be completed "same day." I made a "same-day" order because I needed a quick turnaround for an event the following afternoon. I paid online. They were not completed until the following evening. Since they weren't ready in time, I picked them up later that week and arrive ten minutes to close in a downpour... These people have the security screen pulled and the door locked so no one can get in and they can just let whomever they've locked in the store 15 mins to close out whenever. A customer just happens to be leaving when I walk up to the door. The front-end associate lets her out, ignores me standing there, and begins to close the gate again. I say, "Excuse me, I need to pick up business cards from the copy center." She slowly looks at her watch and curls her lip. I say, "Yes, it's before eight." "Okay," she says, and lets me in. There are two associates in the Copy Center. My cards are paid, so all I have to do is grab em. They acknowledge me. I say that I'm picking up business cards, they look confused, and appear to be continuing whatever they are doing on the computer workstation. Maybe looking up the order. We'll say that. Eventually, an associate comes to where I am standing at the counter and grabs em from the bottom on her side. She's nice enough, but they have no answer as to why I have purchased "same-day business cards" within the time frame, paid online, and the cards aren't ready same-day. Eventually, the guy shrugs and says, "We were busy." So, basically, they just didn't deliver. By the time the front end associate lets me out, and I'm across the lot and back in the truck, it's 8pm on the dot. I do get the sense that the Copy Center here doesn't know how to manage/prioritize orders based on product and promise. Additionally, they are "closing" the store and locking customers in during business hours. I used to work in a Staples Copy Center: You don't get to make promises, take money, not deliver the order, and shrug your shoulders, especially without communication to the client that they won't be getting the product purchased. I won't be using this Copy Center again, and I will be requesting a refund for the same-day business cards. (By the by, you put someone at the door to close it at 8pm on the dot, you don't close, lock, and pull the security gate at 7:45pm.) I knew the collective service was going to suck when the business cards weren't ready same-day, and this was confirmed when I pulled up at 7:45-7:50pm, and the store was "closed." They close early, deliver late. You can't trust any of their promises, from business hours to copy center guarantees.

I came in with some CD labels to print. The woman running the printing section was rude and told me that she didn't want to put my labels in "her machine" because she didn't recognize the label manufacturer. I've used these same brand-name labels in other print shops, and never have had a problem.
