Mr. Fernando (Michael) De La Cruz was a disgruntled employee who was almost fired the first week on the job but was retained for 7 week before being dismissed since we had big hopes for him, but the personal issues never stopped. He was absent from his job 8 days during this 7 week period which disqualifies him from any production bonus program available to all other fulltime employees not on probation. In other words, he was not eligible to participate in the production bonus program until after his probation period ended.At least on two separate occasions Mr. De La Cruz did not call in sick just simply did not show up to work. His car was always breaking down and had a number of personal issues which prevented him from showing up to work.We provide every one of our employees with opportunities for growth within our company with the opportunity to become “Leads” and even “Supervisors” with wages ranging from $18-$27/hour. We teach and practice 5S and Lean principals to manage our work flow, quality and production efficiency. Once in a while you get an employee who does not have the mentality to follow directions nor fit for this disciplinary environment and refuse to follow procedures and ultimately end-up victimizing themselves into believing that this is all in place to halt progress create chaos and disrupt achievements.We stride to provide a team atmosphere and only assign 6-7 hours of work per day for each employee with 7 paid holidays, 40hrs of PTO, Medical insurance, overtime and the production bonuses for those employees who follow the requirements. One of which is to be present at least 37hrs the work week of the bonus. We have a low turnover with some employees working for us for as long as 8 of our 15 years in business.We did fire Mr. De La Cruz and he was bitter about his departure, it is a shame because he is a hard worker but he is not reliable and not complementary to a team atmosphere.We do wish him the best!
