Great full massages body massage. Alex really listened to my needs. I signed up for the $60 a month plan so I can get at least one massage a month, and if I want more it's only $60 which is a good price

The massage was ok, I was in desperate need of a massage so anything made me feel a little bit better. My massage gal was ok, it just felt really rushed when she was massaging. Like how fast a nail salon tech massages your hands and feet. Just a little bit too quick and not enough slow motions with her hands. But she did do some pressure point area on my back so that felt not too bad. Just a little bit too quick with her hands and not going a slow motion to make it feel more relaxing.

I am a new client and my first time in La Vida and was worked on by this young therapist with a name that starts with an S. She suggested to massage the long muscle running down my neck to relieve some tension. Massage therapists should not teach inexperienced people to self-massage this area as this is a crucial area they use for carotid massages. Two unfavorable things can happen - 1) Stimulate the carotid sinus and someone can pass out 2) Dislodge an embolus/thrombus in the carotid artery and give someone a stroke.Self-massages can be helpful but one should be wary of other anatomical structures that are in proximity to a muscle, especially for people who don't know their anatomy.  Massage is a relatively safe procedure but can also be dangerous. Don't do any techniques that can compromise circulation.
