Holiday Inn Phoenix - Chandler, an IHG Hotel

Clean, super friendly staff. Great area with amenities walking distance Rooms: Older rooms, but well maintained. Super clean. Safety: Great area Walkability: Local Restaurants are walkable. Next door to what looked like a golf course Noteworthy details: Pool is beautiful

Rooms are OK. There is a stench smell as soon as you walk in and go upstairs. It smells old like stale stench. But it's very noticeable. I only came here for business meeting for a few days.

Stayed 5 nights, and out of our 6 hotels on our trip this was top of the list in almost every category! Beds were not quite soft enough for me (The new Holiday Inn w estayed at at the beginning of the trip had the BEST beds), but the room was well cleaned, spacious, staff was amazing and overall all the facilities were amazing! 100% will stay here again when we come back in the future!

After having stayed in a few other Holiday Inn/Express or other IHG properties in this area, I can comfortably say this was probably the best. Granted, there were some issues with "convenience" outside the hotel (nearest grocery stores or restaurants were over a mile away...) that wasn't a fault of the hotel itself, just the location- doordash could fulfill that though. The hotel staff and rooms were great- and Connor, the manger at the front desk is an awesome guy, but also the other staff- day or night/during third-shift- were above and beyond. The rooms were spacious, noise from adjacent rooms was low-to-nonexistent. My only *minor* complaint/issue was the beds...not quite as comfortable (overly firm- at least to me, though ymmv) compared to a couple other locations in the Phx-Metro area, I was still more than pleased with this location overall. And yes, the restaurant/bar in the lobby might've thrown a *slight* wrench in getting the usual "free breakfast" offered by other IHG properties (not to mention probably causing all kinds of problems for the third-shift staff, with the bar patrons...) that didn't bother me too much. The microwave in-room with the mini-fridge, Cox "Contour" service for the in-room tvs, decently strong wifi, and the extra bit to the in-room desks was a nice bonus. All in all, despite the firm beds, I would easily recommend this hotel to anyone needing a stay in the Phx-Metro area....even if it is a bit out of the way, it's worth it to stay here.
