Very quick and professional! Buzz really knows his way around a door! They can even cut the same key to match your front door so you dont have to have multiple keys. Thanks buzz and steel shield

I thought this was a good company to use and work with as Im a returning customer, but its gone really wrong, really quick. First and foremost we thought we were getting the same door we ordered for our last house. We loved it because it couldnt be broken into and it had the extra security of being a double locking mechanism. It was also flush to the door and had nice hardware and looked like a solid custom door. Fast forward a couple years..... We ordered the same thing for our new house, or so we thought, but upon install it was completely different. It now sticks out several inches from the house, had hardware that was super ugly, no double lock, a lock that can be picked now, and ugly brass hinges that dont match my brushed nickel theme. Also, they neglected to tell me to vacuum after install because of metal shards that were everywhere but the installer did ask me if it looked clean. I said yes, he didnt tell me there are metal shards still on the floor and do a quick vac. My husband spent well over an hour digging them out of my feet. Didnt even get an apology for it. So we cancelled the check for the remainder to make sure we get these problems resolved before they are paid in full. Seemed like he was going to at fix the issues as he was going to put pins in the lock to make it break in proof. Im sorry, but I thought paying 3500 for a door with the crime safe upgrade was assurance it couldnt be picked. Nope! I was going to have to deal with the door sticking out though. No fix for that. Fine, Im willing to work with some things being different but being break in proof and esthetically pleasing isnt any of them Im willing to work on. I also had the installer give me an older style handle they used to use, verses something my grandmother would have had, but he only had it in bronze so it doesnt match my black door right now. One of the things that needs fixing. The lock now looks like this is a Home Depot door as well. It used to have a nice plate behind the lock and handle. It just looks cheap. We have been dropped now though. Apparently, wanting the pins so the door is secure, a handle in the matching color of my door thats not ancient looking, and a discount for not being warned about the metal shards and giving me a false sense of security by asking if the area looked clean was too much for them because I was just served with the threat of a lien on my house. The lien is also for more than twice what we owe them as we have already paid for more than half the cost of the door to order it. So not only did they do a low blow like this but they are crooks in the amount they are trying to put a lien on my house for. What a cowardly move. They talked to me for a day and then just ditched me and they wouldnt answer my texts if they were planning to still make this right. How about just apologizing for the pain I had to suffer and what was a 100 percent avoidable, compensating for it, making it right, and then getting paid for a job well done?! Or how about telling a previous customer that things have changed before we order again?! Thats too easy and ethical.... clearly. To add to this because its just that absurd to me, what protection do homeowners have? I have heard countless stories of contractors bailing on homeowners and leaving them to hire again while losing money. They are long gone, too bad so sad. Here, we wanted to hold the last installment until the job was satisfactory. Instead of them working with me via text, they ghost me and then threaten a lien. I would really think if you want to trust working with ethics such as what is being displayed here. This company is a fine example of who you dont want to hire and give your money to. If things change, you disclose it. Since you didnt, you make it right as best you can. You dont quit and pull a move such as this. We arent not trying to pay, we are trying to ensure we get a job we are happy with at the end of the day. Clearly, we made the right call holding last payment back.
