The Lodge at Cliff Castle Casino

No one at the lodge. Back to the casino. Would not let us check in 40 minutes early. No where in room to plug in anything including the coffee machine without it sitting on the floor. No clock. No instructions to take room key to ice machine located in the next county. Piss poor and service. Not coming back.

I called to make a reservation for the Casino and spoke with reservations and stated that it was a Birthday and was quoted a $89.00 per night rate Bait and Switch - we were placed in the LODGE what a horrendous filthy place.. Bed was broke, toilet seat was broken, sliding glass door would not shut and a Bath Tub that I would not it step in without wearing sandals.. A filthy inhabitable place and should be condemned!! This Lodge is as bad as it gets from its exterior to its interior, please be aware..

This Hotel has the best customer service front desk personnel who work the graveyard shift. I love staying there coming up from Phoenix for a Lil weekend getaway. I usually arrive after midnight and they always are willing to accommodate me however I need it to be. I'm in a wheelchair with a service dog and they always either are able to hold a room downstairs or if those are all taken then they will upgrade me to the " New Hotel rooms, free of charge, of course." I play their slots occasionally and usually win something decent ( between $100-$2000) the $2000 was a lucky night. $150-$250is usually the average I win. Never spending over my self set limit of $300to spend. Their 50's style restaurant is the only "con". This food isn't any better then ur typical hamburger joint ( Red Robin, Chili's) but the prices are more inline with Ruth Christie's Steak house. Ridiculously high for mediocre food. Although the shakes are pretty awesome. They have a amazing kid zone open late for those who want to gamble but have Lil ones. They also have a pretty fun bowling alley and a amazing indoor pool for those staying in the newer, nicer hotel. But "The Lodge" does have a outdoor pool and jacuzzi. So if it's between May-Oct I love staying at the lodge instead. Ither times I stay uphill for the indoor pool and jacuzzi. Definitely my 1st go to hotel when I'm anywhere within a 30 minute drive. Safety: For someone in a wheelchair I feel perfectly safe anywhere on the Hotel/casino grounds Walkability: Not sure about walking but for those who use a wheelchair it's has some areas that are pretty difficult to navigate until u get familiar with it. For instance, trying roll ur manual chair on the carpet is quite difficult. Must have some pretty decent upper body strength to get around the carpeted areas. The grounds are all accessible for wheelchair users. However you just have to find all the entrances and exits for those in wheelchairs and the like. Noteworthy details: Most noteworthy is definitely the staff at The Hotel/Lodge front check in desk on the graveyard shift. All should be given huge raises. Or at least recognized for the outstanding customer service skills. Above and beyond is all I can say!!
