Wilde Ivy Photography

When I was looking for a wedding photographer last summer, it was important to me to find someone who we felt comfortable with and could have an easy, laid back experience with. Not only did we find a photographer, we found Sydney and Evan. From our first call, both my husband and I felt like they were the right fit for us. They were available to answer questions and offer advice. Our family and friends also enjoyed their presence at our reception and felt at ease being in front of their cameras. We had Sydney and Evan shoot our bridal portraits about a week later and that was a very lovely experience. They brought us a drink to start off with and we just hung out together while shooting. We walked away feeling like we made new friends. All of that to say their work is beautiful and we are so happy that we had them be a part of our celebration. I would 100% hire them again and recommend them to anyone!

We absolutely loved having Syd and Ev capture our day! Syd and Ev worked with our short timeline and were so kind and understanding of our family dynamics. When we met with them during our consultation they were quick to catch our vision and were excited to make our dreams come true! Through out the wedding their guidance was helpful and their passion for what they do was so evident! I stumbled across Wilde Ivy's Facebook page when owners, Sydney and Evan posted a photo in a "hiking with kids" FB group. I scrolled and scrolled, awed by the colors and emotions they captured. Noting that the subjects were mostly couples, I jumped over to their website to inquire about doing an in-home family shoot in hopes they would say yes. With 2 young teenagers, skipping an exhausting car ride would mean happy kids and big smiles for sure, right? All I needed was 1 decent photo for our annual Christmas cards. Sydney was enthusiastic about 50-100+. Unfortunately our first scheduled date was met with pouring rain and Sydney & Evan were kind enough to let me reschedule. I'm so thankful because come our actual shoot day, we had an abundance of natural light. Sydney & Evan arrived on time and couldn't be more friendly. The kids warmed up to them easily and I kid you not, looked HAPPY! Kids don't like family photo shoots but I tell you, Sydney and Evan made it fun. They said just to do us- like go bake some cookies, decorate the Christmas tree, ride your bicycles, roast some marshmallows over the fire pit! So that's what we did. Today, we got our proofs back and if you're reading this, then you know how exciting getting that link is. I tried to scroll so slow, taking in each photo and remembering the moment in which it was taken. I have 200+ photos, not DECENT but GOOD photos of my family together. I love the colors, the focus, the laughs, the funny faces, THE PORTRAITS OF MY FRENCH BULLDOG they snuck in while we humans were changing outfits. Sydney & Evan, thank you so much for agreeing to photograph our family in home. I know it was quite the travel for you but you gave us an incredible amount of memories that we will cherish forever, ever. What once was our daunting annual family photo shoot (said husband and kids) will be family FUN day next year and every year to come. We CANNOT wait to work with you again.

We are so happy that we chose Wilde Ivy for our engagement photos and our wedding (next year)! Their pricing is so affordable compared to other photographers we looked at and you still get amazing quality photos so its a win-win! They are very responsive, fun to be around, and have awesome personalities! Our engagement session was a dream come true and we had so much fun! Syd & Ev are masters behind their cameras and planned out every pose imaginable to create a large variety of pictures. Their editing style in my opinion, is absolutely beautiful. When I first got sneak peeks of our session, I cried. Like ugly cried, because of how beautiful the photos were! We are so excited for the wedding & the memories they will capture! I will be forever using Wilde Ivy for any professional pictures we need & will be recommending them every chance I get!
