Best Western Lake Lucille Inn

Okay- the staff was SUPER friendly at this hotel and I REALLY wanted to give it 5 stars. Butmy room was 77 degrees. When it was 30 degrees outside. I ROASTED. Considering I tried multiple different AC settings- it was clearly a faulty HVAC. They did have a fan in the room, so that helped. Marginally. Mattresses were hard and old. The door to my bathroom also dragged against the floor and created an awful noise when opening and closing. Other perks: Very pretty views. Good location. Restaurant on site (Unfortunately it was closed the night I stayed- Tuesday). Oh! And I got a call at promptly 11 to see when I was leavingwhen Id been told checkout was 12. I was on the way out though, so didnt mind.

If youre you dont need to be in Wasilla, AK, go to the Home 2 suites in Anchorage instead theyre great. This place not so much. Never have I been hit with deposit fees like the ones here in addition to the desk staff being rude and condescending. They said they need to charge extra deposits because the place had just been renovated but except for the location it has nothing worth mentioning as plus. I just dont see it. After spending 2 weeks at the Home 2 this place is actually icky, the room is dark, and the walls are paper thin. If I hadnt booked on a third party site and could cancel the reservation I would. Unfortunately Im stuck here. Look at the photo, is there anything special here? No.

Privacy is discredited in this hotel . Anyone who lives in this hotel have master keys and will go in your room regardless of a privacy sign posted on door knob per guidance from hotel . If youre a federal worker or active duty soldier who is traveling across the country to find rest . This is not the hotel . You will hear loud music blaring early in the morning from the cleaning crew. Sounds like a sports bar from 7-10 in the morning . If you are driving 2weeks straight and 12+ hours a day on the road . Do not seek rest or stay at this hotel . Highly recommend if you value your rest , privacy , and well being . Safety: If you sleep . Find a way to lock your door . Do not disturb sign does not stop them from walking in your room unannounced.
