Aspen Hotel Soldotna

Honestly, the WI-FI speeds/service are unacceptable in 2024. The Best Western has at the very least, 20x the speed with APs and a firewall to handle the traffic of the guests staying at the hotel. If you plan on doing anything that involves low bandwidth, but consistent packet order such as voice, video chat, or gaming, you're best suited to burn up your hotspot data or use your phone. AT&T provides great service to this area. The only reason it doesn't get a 1* is because I really do like the front office staff (aside from GM and management). The rest of them are very kind, welcoming, and genuinely great at customer service. This is no fault of theirs. I'll blow through 5-6GB of hotspot data in a few days, then buy more on my phone plan. It'd be nicer if I could just pay more here for traffic prioritization. I emailed the FOM in December and here we are in April they haven't stepped up their game. Same jokers running the 3rd party infrastructure, and bandwidth that belongs in 2004. With how often this place sells out, they sure aren't spending it on staff overhead with how lean they run employee costs. Edit: fixed a typo and dropped a star from the carefree response.

Usually stay here when I travel to Soldotna. Always has been a good choice for price and location. About the only negative is that the pool/spa remodel still isn't done.

Aspen hotel in Soldotna is the place to go! The room was beautiful, check in was easy and super friendly. The property is better maintained than other hotels Ive stayed at. Thank you, Aspen Soldotna!

The Aspen Hotel Soldatna was great! The room was clean and warm. The front desk gal was warm, open and helpful. I wish they would open thier continental breakfast again though. The room was very clean. The most remarkable thing was the beds. The sheets were so soft, the pillows the perfect kind of fluffy and the bed was cozy. Perfect for a weekend trip!
