Super 8 by Wyndham Sitka

This establishment is no longer affiliated with Wyndham, or Super 8 Hotel chains. This location is now under private ownership. The new owner chose the name "Baranof Lodge" for this destination in Sitka, Alaska. I had the privilege of staying at this location just after the new owner took over. The walls and exterior are getting an entire facelift. The new owner is going to renovate this old Super 8 Motel building, with the goal of creating an Alaskan lodge feel and experience. I eagerly look forward to my next visit to Sitka to see the changes I hear are being planned for this building.

Rented a Queen room as a means to escape a cockroach infestation in my previous residence, very clean and comfortable compared to the experience I had in my old apartment. While I may have only stayed a handful of days to mitigate the bug problem, it provided me with a much needed rest and relaxation I couldn't otherwise find at home. 4/5, only thing I'd take away from it was the fact they do not accept cash in hand, even when a debit/credit card is booked on-file. I digress.

Great location, good service and accommodations. Large rooms and affordable prices. Rooms: The rooms are clean and very large!

No towels when you need them, continental breakfast was not very appealing, plumbing is out dated, considering that when you have to pay over $200 a night!
