Public Defender

An absolute disgrace. They never answer phones or return calls, they seem to be working for the prosecutors office as they do minimum law work to defend there clients and look for the easy way to broker a deal with prosecutors instead of fighting for clients rights and justice. They agency collected so much state/tax payer money during COVID and did nothing for there clients absolutely nothing for two and a half years while collecting free paychecks from the state. The state can easily dismantle the public defenders agency and save money and time by hiring freelance or other agency law firms to take care of low income public defense needs.

Terrible example of how the justice system should work. I am from Texas and back living here again now and 7 years later I am still unable to get a simple simple drivers license which I am fully eligible for.because of the ineptitude and corruption of the Alaska court system.
