Alaska beauty at its very best. Harry & Brigid are SO knowledgeable!! Our amazing experience included outstanding views from the water and hiking. Up close to nature and wildlife the whole time. Bears in their habitat, with cubs feasting on salmon, grass or salmon berries. We made a coffee table book with our photos. Our friends and family marvel at how close we got to bears. A once in a lifetime trip.

It was surreal to be in the midst of sights, sounds, and smells of a glorious Alaskan wilderness. The majestic Bald Eagles are everywhere. The Seals, Sea Otters and Puffins are plentiful. Hiking on bear paths while spotting gigantic paw prints, in wet soil, builds anticipation then suddenly WOW! you encounter massive Kodiak bears and you cannot believe your eyes. Our trip to Aleut Island with Kodiak Treks was probably the most memorable trip of our lives. The area's astounding beauty, the incredible bear viewing, the superb fishing and Harry's effortless hospitality all made for the perfect adventure. Though Brigid was traveling and we didn't get to meet her until the day we left, we have no doubt her presence would only enhance the experience. The accommodations are so nice that you almost forget you're in a vast wilderness. Harry and Brigid seem to have thought of everything that eco-tourists might want or need. Harry pretty much spoiled us to the point that when we returned home, we almost expected coffee and pancakes to be waiting for us when we woke up. I cannot recommend a trip with Kodiak Treks highly enough!

I always wanted to see Alaskan bears in the wild, but I never dreamed I would be able to walk the same paths and encounter Kodiak bears and cubs at such close range. Imagine you are walking along a remote Alaskan stream with a small group of people and you see a two year old male cub approaching you. We crouched on the ground and stayed perfectly still. He walked right by us within 20 feet. We felt safe with guides Harry and Brigid as the cub sniffed at us and walked away. We continued to have more thrilling encounters with Bears, eagles, sea otters and other Alaskan wildlife. I highly recommend this trip for animal and nature lovers.

This the BEST trip I ever took in my life! I read an article in the nyc times 10 years ago. And afterwards I was immediately compelled to save the article. And two at some point in my life, take their trip, and I did so 10 years later. It was truly an amazing experience! Harry and Bridget made me feel completely at home when I got to the cabins. Experiencing the coastal brown bears with them surpassed the dreams I had in my wildest imagination. Its amazing to me bear aficionados, but especially of grizzly bears(or coastal, brown bears, kind of the same thing) is incredible! Everyone should take their trip!! Its amazing, I took their trip last year. And I still think about it every day to give everybody. An idea of the impacted head on me. I cant wait to go back! Their trip put you in touch with yourself and your soul. Everyone should do it! Everyone she got off the grid! And another thing I like about it was not being able to use my phone for six days. And Harry Bridget regaling me with their stories in person. Somehow it feels more human:) and the reason it feels more and is because more human. Take the trip ALL!! youll be super happy that you did!
