The Anchor

Used to be the best bar food in town, but in March 2024 they raised their prices substantially and reduced the menu by about a third, eliminating several very good options that werent based on beef or pork. The purge even extended to classic condiments, so they have fries and tots but no special seasonings (Old Bay was a local favorite) fish and chips but no malt vinegar, and a (pork) burrito but no bottled hot sauce. The burgers are excellent as are the hand cut fries. The halibut and chips is well prepared but at $27 for three thumb-sized pieces of fish, its a disappointment. There are just two salads (both featuring only romaine lettuce) and almost nothing else that isnt fried. If burgers and wings are what youre after and its payday, this is a friendly and satisfying spot.

The food is delicious. Inside the bar this place offers good music and foo a great place to talk have a chat and enjoy the moment in a very nice atmosphere. The tunes are great the playlist is awesome. Vegetarian options: Just the black bean burger

Worst calamari I've ever had, they pulled the Sysco bag right out of the freezer as I was ordering and slammed way too many of them in the fryer. Has to be the cheapest frozen calamari product available, really bad. A ridiculous portion size of the worst available calamari product somehow makes it worse.
