J Bear Tours

J Bear Tours is an excellent company to deal with. Right from the start of the process they were quick to answer any questions and kept in contact. The day of our trip he was watching the weather closely to make sure we had the best chance at success. Chris is a great pilot and guide. Safety both in the plane and with the bears is a priority. The groups are small which is perfect for this type of trip. I can't believe how close the bears were to us. We felt safe but it was definitely surreal. A PERFECT trip. I would definitely recommend J Bear Tours to anyone wanting to see the Grizzlies. (We saw 8 today - AMAZING!!)

What an amazing trip, worth every penny and then some! Chris is very knowledgeable about the bears and the area. It was the best 5 hours of our trip so far. Thanks for an experience we won't soon forget.

Amazing, breathtaking experience. Chris, the pilot, made us feel very safe and comfortable not only in the plane but also at Lake Clark. He knew exactly where to go to see the bears and provided us with an incredible experience. He was very knowledgeable about Alaska and grizzly bears. Would highly recommend!

Mid August 2023 we flew with Chris to Lake Clark landing on the beach at Silver Salmon. It was the most fantastic and exciting experience. Beautiful flight over, beach landing and the mama bears and cubs all over. We watched them for hours, they were clamming, they swam out into the ocean to get salmon from a fishing net. Return flight was fantastic too, flew over volcanoes. Could not have asked for a better day, it was sunny and warm. Worth doing it! Thank you Chris for an experience we will never forget.
