The Aurora Chasers®

My wife and I booked this tour as the first thing we did coming to Fairbanks, AK. It was a truly special night for so many reasons. Ronn and Marketa were excellent hosts with 12+ years of knowledge. They helped everyone dial in their cameras of different males and models. Ronn even covered IPhone cell phones and my Android phone as well (Thank you sooo much) We traveled with a total group of 9 people and everyone was friendly and excited. As we traveled to our destination, the vehicle and creature comforts were very accommodating. Once at our destination, our hosts made sure there was safety covered, a nice warm vehicle to leap into if it was too cold for us and I must tip my hat off to Marketa with her offer of (Coffee, Hot Chocolate and what I got, a Mocha Coffee) Aside from all I just told you, then there was the Northern Lights. It was truly a special night because once we knew what we were looking for ( Nope, the pictures you see is not what the human eye sees, only a camera). The Northern Ligts put on a Grand Show as it streaked across the sky, dancing and making patterns that just make your jaw drop. It is a memory that my wife and I will never forget and I hope you all team up with these people and enjoy the same memories as well. Enjoy these pictures from my Galaxy Note Android Phone.

Highly recommended! This well-organized tour felt more like a photography workshop. Even as a professional photographer, I learned a lot from Ronn and Marketa. They were dedicated to finding the best spots. The entire experience was educational and detail-oriented, definitely worth the money.

We went on a second tour with Ronn and Marketa, and again, they did not disappoint! They used the the right technical resources and tools to be able to find a great spot for taking photos. Being able to rent professional photo equipment as well as the personal assistance on how to set the camera (and phone) for optimal photos was invaluable. The van was warm and comfortable, and a small group made sure everyone could be attended to. They also provided an educational experience on the aurora phenomenon, and knew when it was worth watching and waiting at a particular location or to head in to a different location for more opportunities to view the aurora. Thank you for another great experience! Would highly recommend!

I booked this tour for my first night in Fairbanks. I am so glad I did! First, they work with solo travelers and do not charge extra for single people. They pick up at the local hotels and keep you up to date with pick up times. Tour groups are on the smaller side which is great for more personalized help and less light issues with people around. Ronn and Marketa were so knowledgeable with photography. When booking, they ask what kind of camera you have and when in the tour, they were prepared for each persons individual camera specks. Very impressive! Ronn worked with each person to get their gear set up and were so helpful when camera had issues. He made sure everyone was getting the best images their cameras could handle. Thanks to them and all their knowledge, I became the camera expert with other tour groups I was on and was able to help others with their cameras. No other tour I took offered much or any help with photography. Both Ronn and Marketa were excellent with finding the lights, but Marketa is the Northern Lights whisperer. She was able to predict their brightness within 15 minutes and had us ready for pictures. So impressive! Together, they are a great pair and they make for such a memorable experience. If it wasnt for Ronn and Marketa, I dont think I would have enjoyed my trip as much. I am so glad I traveled with them first as they made me much more confident with my photography. The Aurora Chasers, was absolutely a wonderful experience. I would give it more stars if I could. Our night started getting picked up at our hotel with a very warm and welcoming vibe from Ronn. Once we picked up everyone, we all got to share a little about ourselves and that helped us to all bond for the rest of the night. The tour had visual explanations and a screen inside the van to help us monitor the aurora outside and Ronn also used the screen to teach us about our cameras and both Marketa & Ronn are extremely knowledgeable. When it came to have our portraits taken, I was blown away by Marketas exciting and warm and over all joy to take our portraits. I loved that she would keep informing us that she was free to take portraits and was so encouraging when we would get some really nice northern lights to take our portraits, at one point she pulled me and fianc aside and she took a breath taking picture of us with the aurora and the ring moon in the background. THANK YOU MARKETA, for being so amazing! We loved all our portraits. I loved this tour. And if you have a chance to go aurora chasing definitely consider THE AURORA CHASERS. You will be glad you did.
