My visit with Dr. Heilman was fantastic. I am so happy she is back supporting women's health in Fairbanks again. She is a caring, very knowledgeable and very skilled OB/GYN. I love Interior Woman's Health!

Good doctor to see if you want your baby to die. Unfortunately I wanted mine more than anything. My doctor was on vacation when my water broke early, so I saw Baurick. He didn't offer or suggest I take any antibiotics (which afterwards, I discovered is the usual protocol in such situations). Low and behold, I ended up getting an infection so I went to FMH emergency room and they sent me to the maternity ward. Tragically he was the doctor on call that day. Although he was in the hospital, he would not see me and had his nurse take my vitals and reflexes. When she relayed the information to him, he told her to discharge me without prescribing me any antibiotics because " SINCE I DIDN'T HAVE A FEVER, I OBVIOUSLY DIDNT HAVE AN INFECTION". I tried to explain that I knew my body well enough and there was without a doubt an infection, but he wouldn't hear it. Three days later, my fianc and I were rushing to the hospital with the most severe pain I have ever felt. Spent the next three days there with my doctor (who was back in town that day) trying to save my baby but by that point, the infection was too widespread. This man robbed me of my son, and I will hate him for the rest of my life. A friend on facebook recently asked peoples opinions of this "Doctor" , and not surprisingly, there were others with stories very similar to mine. Fortunately she opted to go to someone else.
