Anchorage Vet Center

I called two months ago and heard from the director that there would be a meeting to discuss whether I can be seen there. I have a disabling condition that would make me eligible, but for some reason there is a group approval process. I have left follow-up voicemails for the director requesting a return call, but she appears unwilling to call me back. I called the local VA about this, but the VA has no involvement with what goes on there. When I called the AK state veterans services office, the person I spoke with had no idea what I referred to when I mentioned the Vet Center. What the Hell is going on in Alaska? Is the Vet Center in Anchorage an exclusive club with unreasonable standards or expectations of the service-disabled veterans they allow into their group? Where do they get their funding? The funding source needs to know of the unreasonably exclusive and highly selective organization they are funding.
