Premier Roofing is a top notch roofing contractor. They are excellent at communicating with their clients, they are punctual, they are friendly, they are considerate, they are efficient, and they offer great value for your money. I would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend that needs roofing services, actually I already have. The owner of the company was present and was actively working everyday of the job. I called in early July for a roof estimate for my mother's high-pitched roof. I was told I would be given an estimate in approximately three weeks. I called to follow-up in August and was told they were not giving any estimates or signing any new contracts this year due to the cost of materials increasing and they can't possibly know what the costs will be next year. All roofing companies know the costs are increasing, they knew weeks earlier, they knew in July, they knew in June and then waited until it was too late to line up other estimates. This is an unfortunate way to do business. Tracy would like to blame this review on other factors (she is defensive) but my frustration is absolutely not about an earlier contracted company that very professionally had to cancel all high pitched roofing contracts for loss of their key roofer. My disappointment with this company is that they canceled the estimate so close to the end of summer and then shockingly admonished me and treated me with unnecessary hostility when I expressed my disappointment. Tracy absolutely completed her berating of me with: "WELL I HOPE YOU LINED UP MORE THAN ONE ESTIMATE!!!" She was clearly too busy cutting me off defending herself to remember she said that, but she absolutely did. The reality is, I didn't think I had to line up multiple estimates, I had depended on their reliability. Had she handled this with professionalism, much like the other company that had to cancel, I would have felt differently. However, Tracy has a cold and unprofessional demeanor and is hostile and quickly agitated. In hindsight I am glad they canceled the estimate. We don't need the roof done until next year and my 87 year old mother deserves a company that is customer service oriented and kind. The day after I called them and was met with such a condescending demeanor, I received an email that they would not be giving any more estimates this year. If you want a reliable company, or at the very least a company that is customer service oriented, this surely isn't the one. We are old time Alaskans and we expect better.
