If I could give it a zero I would. If you have any option I would highly recommend that you do that instead. This program is full of hypocrites that are book educated on addiction. So tentatively like OSHA " idk how you feel or what you've been through but the book is saying your wrong". They tell you to be active in your recovery and treatment, yet the counsellors are available only 15-25% of the time.... They will bully you, they will be condescending, they will tell you what your feeling is not how your feeling. If you can, avoid this place like it has the plague.

Akeela is where the "afflicted" do the "inflicting". Hands down the most "unhealthy" environment I have ever lived in. Decisions made on staffs behalf from treatment team are "indelible". Traumatized & "ill advised" I graduated their program on my own volition, no drug charges, no charges at all whatsoever and went into the transitional housing afterward. It gave me a leg up in terms of finding a good job so there was some good to all of it. However, paying $500 a month for a run down apartment infested with a colony of mice with dead mice under furniture, sink, scratching in the walls at night. Woke up with mouse feces next to my head on my pillow one morning. Putting those kinds of stressors on someone right out the gate is Hardly, what I would classify a "thriving" environment for someone fresh out of rehab. It represents "death" quite literally. May God bless those whom find themselves in such circumstances. If "Akeela" is the best you got Alaska, you need to step your game up. Avoid at all costs, I barely made it out of that death trap by the skin of my teeth & the hair on my nuts. Treatment centers like this are why your children are dying at unprecedented rates. Their treatments are akin to purchasing bottled water from Flint, Michigan. "Understaffed" "undertrained" "underpaid" - that's the name of the "profit" game. Behavioral modification does nothing for the "addict" if the behavior of society isn't modified as well. They push "Accountability" but they're not holding themselves "accountable" and they are not fully "accounting" for anything. I will say this though, I do see a lot of "potential" for a treatment center like this if their criteria was "changed" - as it stands, with their "counteractive" benching system & negligent treament team personnel the necessary "change" would be like "pulling teeth" and getting teeth pulled is what their patients undergo, not the staff Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. 99 -Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
