I received bariatric surgery from Dr Todd about 2 years ago. I feel that now I have enough experience with his practice to be able to write a thorough and thoughtful review. First off I would like to state that Dr Todd is a fantastic surgeon and I had almost no complications with my procedure. Nothing beyond normal surgery stuff. I would also say that his bedside manner and decorum is top notch, especially for a surgeon. The downside however is that Dr Todd is running his practice almost by himself and does not seem to have much administrative assistance. I say this is a downside because you need to be prepared to do a lot of the legwork yourself when it comes to making sure your insurance is going to cover the procedure, making appointments for labs, acquiring any necessary documentation, etc. It also comes into play when you are due for appointments of any kind with Dr Todd, as he will call you randomly without any warning and at random hours. That is your appointment. . I have been called at 5:30 while driving down the road for an appointment with Dr Todd, I have been called after 7:00 p.m. or at 11:00 a.m. during work day. I don't think he gets the concept of making an appointment but rather just calling you when he is free and expecting you to also be free at the same time. After this last " appointment " I was not able to answer the phone when he called, he then sent a somewhat nasty email to my general practitioner and somehow also to me stating that I, as usual, don't answer his calls. At this point I will not be continuing to receive care of any kind from Dr Todd or his staff. In conclusion, I would recommend him for surgery if that is what you're looking for as he did a a great job with the procedure itself. Just maybe find your aftercare somewhere else.

Dr. Todd and his staff truly helped change my life. I went from barely being able to walk across my living room to now being able to go jogging. They will help you every step of the way in getting your health back on track and they host support groups three times a week. Whoever gave them negative reviews don't speak for the vast number of people I've seen firsthand have their lives changes for the better.

I was a patient of Dr Todds in 2008. Upon the requirements being met for surgery a date was set. My highest recorded weight was 296 lbs. my height was 58. Weight at surgery was I believe at 278lbs. The date that changed my life forever was December 8, 2008, the day of surgery. The weight loss goal I had set for myself was to loose down to 150 lbs. I admit the first 4 months was quite the experience; however Im still glad to have made that life changing decision. Lost a lot of weight during the first year. Dr Todd gave strict life changing habits. No sugars, portion control.it goes on. Well over time a little cheating goes on. It just happens. NOT GOOD! I spent years rocking between 172-185 lbs. Never could shed the weight. I was cheating myself. Many folks end up gaining all/more of what they lost. Not a good option. Dont let that rocking chair get too comfortable and in the way of progress. Recognize it as a stumbling block and get back on tract. Easier said than done, I know. Ya just gotta want it. Anyway to make a looong story short, 13 years later I have finally met my goal. This afternoon, August 2, 2021, the scale topped at 149.5 yall! (Yes Im from the south)! FINALLY HAVE MET THAT LONG TERM GOAL!! 13 YRS YALL! Dont give in to temptation and dont give up. Wish I could hug Dr Todds neck. Maybe I will someday. Would love to speak at one of his before surgery sessions he has his patients attend. THANKING him and his staff.
