Great haircut for a reasonable price

Ive been coming to this salon for a very very long time since I was 14 (Im in my early/mid 20s now.) Ive strayed away a few times to try new salons due to moving to eagle river area and wanting to have a local place. But I have never been pleased with the result of both my hair and the services received. I will FOREVER make the commute to Hairplay Salon! They ALWAYS have given me the results Im looking for with the least amount of damage. I usually just book the first person available for the date and time that Im available, so i usually dont get the same person. But everyone is so welcoming and so nice, I have an awesome experience every time I step into Hairplay Salon. Its a beautiful atmosphere (even when I went in this last time they where doing renovations they still kept the vibes very pleasant) I dont remember the name of the nice lady that lightened my hair this last time I think it was Emma or Emily but she asked what I was wanting for my hair. I butchered explaining what I wanted, so I pulled up a picture of what I liked she examined the pictures and then she got to work. She took her time and once she was done working her magic with bleaching, toning, and a heavenly hair wash. she seen where the toner didnt stick or work in the back of my head where I wouldnt have even noticed. Instead of ignoring it she took time to fix it and she double checked that I liked my hair once she was finished. I was very impressed with my results. I am naturally a dark brunette, I personally love super light blonde hair for myself but dont have time to make it to a salon to maintain it often. She was able to give me the most beautiful blonde look that I was hoping to achieve with a seamless blend into my dark roots. I am so in love with my hair, Thank you Hairplay for being so awesome and having the BEST employees!

Scheduling online was easy and my haircut was great! Denali cut my hair and did exactly as I asked. My only feedback would be I overheard other customers get offered coffee, soda, and snacks but I wasnt offered any. Not sure if it depends on what service youre getting but would be a nice gesture to offer things to everyone :) but 5 stars from me, Ill be back

Thank you Emma!! I haven't had such a good cut in 2 years!! You never know until you get home, wash and style it yourself...it's exactly what I wanted!

I scheduled an appointment for my nine-year-old daughter. They called and pushed [my] childrens haircut back an hour - totally fine. When we got there, we did a quick consultation to explain what we wanted done (trim, simple layers). It took less than 30 minutes for her hair to be washed, dried, cut and styled. When I went to check out, they rang me up for a womans cut which was double the cost of the childs cut. I inquired about whether this was an error and was told that the stylist recommended we pay the adult price because my daughter had thick hair. This was never discussed prior to the session nor was it discussed during. My appointment was scheduled as a childrens haircut, not an adults. She is literally nine and the service took just under 30 minutes after they pushed it back an entire hour to accommodate their schedule. I just had her hair cut there two months ago - same service and was not charged the adult fee for thick hair. Ridiculous.
