Great service and a wide selection!! Prices are insane (I was just charged more than $9 for a 16oz lotus drink, not counting tip), especially when compared to other local spots. And in the last 6 months, most of the newbies can't get a drink made correctly. Disappointed lately, they were great and went down hill fast. Not worth going to pay that price for a 50/50 chance of the drink even being correct. Hopefully, they can back on track. Update: No other small coffee shop that buys products and files taxes has to charge these prices. I wonder what you're doing wrong, but not enough to keep ordering here. I let some time pass and I just paid $10 for a burnt mocha. The situation is deteriorating.

I'm a coffee connoisseur... I have been all over Anchorage in the last 2 months and tried mini coffee places this is hands down my favorite!!! I came all the way from chugiak today for a eggnog chai!!! Blows my mind!!! UPDATE 12-22-23!!! ABSOLUTELY THE WORST COFFEE WE'VE EVER HAD!!! IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE EXPENSIVE YOU NEED TO BE CONSISTENTLY GOOD..$19 FOR TWO CUPS OF COFFEE I ASKED FOR chai tea and eggnog IT TASTED LIKE A BAG OF TEA WATERED DOWN IT WAS terrible$8.50 $MY HUSBAND GOT WHITE CHOCOLATE MOCHA...$8.50 terrible WHEN I WENT TO MOVE MY CUP FROM YESTERDAY'S chai NOG TO PUT THe NEW CUP IN ITS PLACE I ENDED UP DRINKING THE OLD ONE FROM YESTERDAY AND SPILLING THE NEW ONE AND I WASN'T EVEN SAD ABOUT IT.. LADY WITH THE BABY ON HER HIP MAKING THE WORST COFFEE EVER!!! DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE BACK CONSISTENCY IS THE KEY WHEN YOU'RE EXPENSIVE!!! JUST SAYING

Yes, we did have to raise our prices a few months back. And although I appreciate your harsh review I would like to provide you with some understanding. Unfortunately, the cost of running a small business has increased drastically. Although $9 seem expensive for a lotus. That amount goes into buying all of the product it takes to make that coffee which makes up 40% of that cost. After that we have to factor in the amount that we pay each employee to prepare that drink, our rent which has increased drastically in the last five years, our property taxes, which has also increased drastically, all of our payroll taxes, all of our utilities (electric, internet, water), an account to file taxes, and the list goes on and on with small business expenses. The $9 amount gets diminished very quickly. I hope this provided some understanding on why we are priced the way we are and hope you enjoyed your lotus. I would also like to address the 50-50 chance that your drink is correct? We take pride and making sure we’re providing good customer service, and our baristas are very well trained. We apologize if any of our employees have made any mistakes your lotus and always encourage you to either call in and let us know and we can figure out how to get you refund or correcting the drink.
