Sondra was a wonderful host and a great conversationalist! Always ready to offer advice about Anchorage or just chat about life. I had a very relaxing time.
Rooms: The rooms and bathrooms are very cozy and have extra things you may need while traveling like shampoo, toothpaste, feminine products, etc. Very homey and wonderful!
Food & drinks: The breakfasts were amazing and I felt really well cared for! Sondra would always ask and make sure needs were met. Lots of creativity too with the selection and also for dietary restrictions.

Best place I've ever stayed in Anchorage. A wonderful small business that truly provides an amazing stay and comfort, with so many thoughtful amenities. Quality, comfort, amazing food, as well as insightful tips and advice from a knowledgeable local for a better experience in Anchorage. Can't rate it higher, there are no more stars left on this scale, else I would.

It was great staying at Sunstar! We originally booked one night only but immediately decided to stay the whole trip here after arrival, Sondra is an amazing host and takes good care of us during the whole stay. I have tried different breakfast everyday and all wonderful!

Such a delightful experience. I was blown away that so much amazing homemade food was all coming from one person. I promise by the end of the meals you will be full and happy. She was such a pleasant conversationalist, and that only made dinner and breakfast that much more enjoyable. I know that we will becoming back through to enjoy her other delicious meals in the future
