Alignment Center and Alaska Car & Truck

Decided to try them out and I would never go back. Called and got a quote for 2 wheel alignment. $195 due to modified vehicle fee which is already the highest Ive seen. Took it in and got a call where the tech ran through a list of all these things that were wrong with it including saying my brand new uniballs were bad (and then later saying he doesnt know much about aftermarket parts). After running through this list, he told me the cost for the alignment would be $270! I said WHOA what happened to 195? He told me there is a zero point calibration fee which Ive never payed for anywhere and I would consider a standard part of an alignment. It takes 5 mins if you have the tool which a professional shop should have. I said no thanks, you quoted me 195 and now its 270 Im out. They charged me a FEE for their bad quote. I also had them check my heating system but since they were such bone heads about the suspension, I question their assessment of the heater core.

Beware of overcharging. I curbed my STI and they quoted me about 14-to 1500 for the work. At that point I decided to use my insurance and the adjuster walked it to way under my 500 dollar deductible. My girlfriend also took her car there and they broke the actuator on the driver side, propped it back up and the window just falls downs from touching it the next day. First they said they didnt do it but the tech admitted to leaning on it while it was halfway down. After a few contradicting stories they still tried to charge her to fix it. Service: Wheel alignment
