Alaska Airlines Regional Headquarters Maintenance and Engineering

My son is serving in the US Army in Alaska and he trusted your airline to get home for the holidays. You got him to Seattle on Saturday morning at 7am and then cancelled the rest of his flight leaving him stranded there. You told him the next flight was Sunday night at 9pm?! and he would not arrive home to Tampa until Monday. You also refused to pay for a hotel or food for him. You told him that it was "weather related" yet hundreds of flights are still leaving the airport. THIS IS HOW YOU COMANY TREATS AMERICAN SOLDIERS... SHAME ON YOU ALL!!!!!!

I never received an email or text about any changes to my flight. My original flight was supposed to leave at 11:55pm but when I went to check in I was prompted to call the airlines. I was then told it was going to take more than a day to get me to my final destination. I had to spend the night in Seattle and it was not reimbursed even though I had no warning about the changes. I understand the social distancing but on my flight back to anchorage it was very full and I feel that the situation could have been prevented by planning ahead. I did plan ahead but the airline changed my flight the day of and if I would not have tried to check in early I would have not been able to make the appointment I scheduled the flight for in the first place. I never will fly with Alaska airlines ever again because of the horrible experience during the virus. I ended up leaving 8 hours before my scheduled flight with no notice.
