Do NOT sign a lease here! Bad management and infested with roaches. We requested extermination services over and over, put in a plastic roach trap and then left. They tore down our entire patio with no heads up, leaving all of our valuables exposed. Not a great area, you can find a better apartment for a lot cheaper.

You are being warned. My responsible daughter lost $202 of her $500 deposit for light bulbs and allegedly damaged blind. My daughter's $500 deposit was half the $1000 deposit she shared with her roommate. In total, the two responsible young ladies had $400 deposit money charged to them for new light bulbs and to replace old blinds normal wear. Do not rent from these unethical landlords.

DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE. As a parent of a Student who has been in a unit that has not had a working A/C unit for the past 7 months, I am extremely disappointed in this place. Management has refused to fix or REPLACE the defective unit. DO NOT LOOK AT HOUNDSTOOTH OR SIGN A LEASE HERE, unless your student does not need a working Air Conditioning or Heating unit.

Management is Lackluster. The apartments are old and torn up. Most of them have rotting balconies or rotted tile in the bathroom. Never again.

Dont stay here if you dont want to get ripped off. We lived in one of their condos for 3 months and they took a 1000 dollars as security deposit from us. While leaving the apartment, we made sure that to clean up everything. We both teach at the University of Alabama. We have lived in apartments before when we were students and were well-aware how they try to rip you off your security deposit money. So this time we were extra careful making sure to scrub the floors, walls, appliances and leave the apartment clean. We even got the property manager to clear the checklist and do an inspection the day we left. Despite this, they sent us a bill of 1300 dollars. When inquired, they replied saying that they replaced the entire carpet because of some watery stain and they changed the wooden floor because of one sticker removal mark (photo attached). The photo of the stain they sent us was laughable and could have been easily removed by deep pressure cleaning. The sticker mark is easily removable as well. But they thought of this as a wonderful opportunity to rip us off the 1000 dollars. And who on earth replaces an entire wooden floor because of one sticker? This was laughable! We dont mind paying money if the reason is duly justifiable but this was ridiculousness at best! As a faculty member at the university, I will advise all incoming students to NOT stay at this place and look for other places near the campus.
